Tactical familiarity and training

Recommended Posts

Is it better to train players in the actual role they have in your tactic to gain tactical familiarity ot his role,

or can you train a forward as complete forward to cover as many attributes as possible and still gain familiarity through playing in the role (PF A) they have in the tactic set up?

It's important to know that it's not role familiarity. The 'pie' indicates role suitability, so it's an opinion on how suitable a player is deemed to be in that role.

A player will be deemed to be more suitable to the role if the important attributes for that role improves. So, you can train him in anything that covers the attributes you want to improve. Especially attributes (related to that role) where the player is lacking.

So individual training has no effect on gaining familiarity to the role they play, just the attributes?

This clearly says familiarity, but if  individual training doesn't affect it I'm happy.

That's tactical familiarity, so will be related to the tactical familiarity training schedules, if you're looking to improve it.

Tactical familiarity isn't affected by what role you train players in. The role you choose (for individual training) is basically just a name for a set of attributes to train, in simple terms.
