What tactics would you recommend me when analyzing my team?

What tactics would you recommend me when analyzing my team? I personally would like to play attacking football.

So part by part, your team looks like this:

Goalkeeper is a shot-stopper ideally suited for a low-ish defense, and a style of play that don't rely on him playing the ball out from the back.

Defense is relatively fast and good at reading the game, so they are ideally suited for a higher defensive line, although they are not either very good at distributing the ball.

Central midfield are good on the ball, but not very tricky. They are more ball-recyclers than players who will break the lines or create chances out of nothing.

Attack is made up of two target men and a tricky winger who likes to cut inside and shoot. None of them are hard-working or good at setting up chances for teammates.

 

I think it will be difficult to create a good, balanced, tactic with this squad, as I see a real lack of creativity, and of intelligent off the ball movement and teamwork. 

 

But to make a first attempt.

 

(could try changing Edouard to AF/A, to use his workrate to drift around more)

(could try changing Beltrán to MEZ/A, but that makes him less inclined to do any defending)

 

Mentality: Balanced

Team Instructions: start without any, and try to analyze what happens

 

Maybe someone else can assist in tweaking the settings to something more complete.

Hello, thank you very much for your effort. I would not have noticed a lot of points that you mentioned. I actually thought I had a pretty good DC. My DL is really bad, especially from his side came many flanks that led to goals. Unfortunately my regular DL was injured almost the whole season. I was also very unhappy with my storm. Now that the season is over, I'll clean up the squad and use your comments as a basis.

I think this is because your left flank is rather exposed by having both IF and FB on attack duties. Your 'Higher Defensive Line' is not helping either.

Try changing their duties to IF(A) with FB(S), or IF(S) with FB(A) and Defensive Line to Standard. Hope this helps.

I fear that your team is not good enough for any sort of attacking football. Some semi-possession-based hybrid style at best.

Player instructions:

DCL/CDcover - Lyanco - stay wider

DR/FBsu - Montiel - dribble less, sit narrower

MCL/CMat - Mascarell - roam from position, close down more

AML/IFsu - Izquierdo - sit narrower

STC/DLFat - Edouard - close down more

Team instructions:

Mentality - Balanced

In possession - start with nothing (you can make small gradual tweaks as you see fit, but only if really necessary)

In transition - distribute to (both) CBs and FBs

Out of possession - only higher D-line (and nothing else)

Sound advice already give.

The Team Report you are looking at can be incredibly useful, although I don;t use the for tactical decisions to be honest.

That is where you see how your 'average' stacks up against the rest of the league you are in, based on your First Team squad, so, before you look at it in detail, make sure you place your players in the correct squads first! The stats can be thrown a bit if you have, say, a couple of u18s in the First Team squad for mentoring.

I  tend to use those reports as a guide to what kind of training I need to set and what type of players I need to look at bringing in.

Thank you very much to everyone for your tips, I am currently planning the squad for the next season. I will analyze the players again in detail and react accordingly. In any case, I will start with the instructions from @Fabian Jonsson  and the @Experienced Defender . I will deal with the preparation very conscientiously because I qualified for the Champions League at the last minute.

However, there is a potential problem irrespective of the tactic - you have replaced too many players with new ones, which is never a good idea. Because they will need a period of adaptation, which can in turn affect their performance even if the tactic itself is good.
