Where are the Editor's backups kept?

I accidentally overwrote my comprehensive custom database while reloading to reverse changes, and noticed I have the 'save editor backups' option ticked - is there any way to find them? Scoured my PC but can't locate them.

Have you looked at previous versions of your editor data folder? 
 

I don’t know about the option you have ticked. Did you make your own versions along the way?

There is a file called last_saved_rules.tmp, rename tmp with dbc and import it in the editor.

This does not always work, we encourage people to make their own backups and use incremental saves.  It's the most important part of editing.
