Rainbowz Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 Welcome to my challenge of taking the FM-famous team of RGUOR Minsk to (hopefully) national and international glory. This is my first attempt at cataloguing my save on here, so if I'm missing any information or key stats, let me know. The Challenge The final aim of this challenge is simple, win the Champions League. However, I must do so using only RUOR's youth graduates. Along the way, I'll be aiming to win as much as I can domestically, as well as improving the state of the Belorussian national team as much as I can. I may even take over if given the opportunity. The Rules The only rule is that I am not allowed to sign players. The only exception to this are former RUOR youth graduates, but only if they are currently without a club (non-contracts/pre contracts do not count). The Club Not much is known about RUOR Minsk. Their Wikipedia page is a stub of an article, but says they acted as a feeder team for MPKC Mozyr in the 90's, before being an independent team. It also says a number of their players went on to play for the Belarus national team. However, Wikipedia lists the team as being dissolved in 2003. However, the team lived on through Football Manager, befuddling many a user who snooped around in the editor and found a Belorussian team with almost perfect facilities. I'm reviving RUOR (now named RGUOR in Football Manager) and have placed them in the 3rd tier of Belarus. I've removed their age limit of 17 and their affiliation to FC Minsk (which would prevent me from reaching the Premier League) The club play, train and have leisure of the facilities at the ABFF Training Centre: Our expectations are lofty, perhaps a bit too lofty: I've added players to playable teams which doubled with our facilities has given us a few players Premier League teams would be jealous of: Did someone say surplus of AMs? Don't suppose any could play LB/RB? (I don't think we're keeping them, though) The man looking to bring glory to RGUOR and Belarus: With a squad that looks to be raided, and lofty expectations set by my board, let's get to it! Rainbowz Posted January 2, 2020 Author Share Posted January 2, 2020 End of Pre-Season Great pre-season, wins against a couple of teams from higher divisions, but mainly battering poor Minsk-based amateurs Our squad has been ripped of its core, with every one of our star players bought within 2 weeks of starting At the start of the save, we were predicted to finish 3rd. Now we're expected to be mid-table. This is our squad now. We've still got some talent, and a bit of potential, but it definitely ain't what it was. This is what we're rocking tactically. There's a few too many 1 goal wins in there, but I'll take them at this stage. Our squad is absolutely paper-thin, however, so injuries may start to take their toll. A quick cup elimination to a second division team killed that dream, but an unbeaten run in the league sees us up to 3rd. Some tough games coming up in August though. The man who's been doing the business, and one of two real players at this club. Though with a decent crop of regens potentially on the way, I fear for his position. Sitko is definitely the pick of the bunch, that acceleration and composure will make him deadly at this level. Some tough games combined with some unfortunate injuries see us slip to 4th, five points off Osipovichi. I think promotion would have been much to early, although we could do with the money from gate receipts a higher division would provide. Pre-season will be all about keeping the players we've got, a few of the better players are attracting Second Division and evemier League attention. Thanks to our amazing facilities, our game-generated players have developed amazingly. If we can keep the core of the squad, I give us a good chance to go up next season.
