2feet
Chris Solly: He plays much better through balls than this other FB, Hoever: These are the really good through balls he plays: This is my formation: So my question is why does Hoever play much worse through balls or doesnt play them at all, whereas Solly does play them very well and does so regularly? Especially when Solly has worse passing attribute and worse vision? Thank you!

In Hoever's head, the first thing he thinks is how can i play a short pass to a team mate and build from the back....because he brings the ball out from the back and plays his way out of trouble. Solly being a bit more "no nonsense" takes the "easier" option by playing direct through balls into the channel and doesnt want the ball at his feet as much. Those would be my thoughts, but i could be completely wrong
sovy666
I agree with @FMunderachiever and in addition on Solly's side there are players who attack the space and therefore his being nonsense becomes a strength.

enigmatic
He hoofed the ball three times to your fastest winger and once to your striker. In between he appears to have mostly played it safe and sensible to your regista. There's not a massive difference in passing abilities between your two fullbacks [Solly has lower vision but better anticipation and decisions] anyway, but fundamentally three or four hoofs is not how you judge who is the better creator passer overall. divij13
To add to everything that has been said, I feel that Decisions and Teamwork have a lot to do with it. Of the two, Solly seems to be a better judge of when that pass is on and when it isn’t.
