Game will not launch

Recommended Posts

I can't launch the game anymore... It was working fine up until this latest update.

I have verified, reinstalled the game, reinstalled windows and the game will not launch anymore....

What the hell is happening. I want to FM :(

So what exactly happens when you try to launch the game now? Do you get any kind of error message? What folder location is your game creating the SI folder in? It should be here by default - C:\Users\Your Windows Username\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\games

If there's no folder there or it isn't, make sure it is by doing as follows - https://community.sigames.com/faq/football-manager-2020/238_how-to/241_pc/how-to-change-the-sports-interactive-folder-location-r855/

Let us know, thanks.

Nothing. It says running on Steam but it never actually launches. I played it absolutely fine up until the newest update and now it won't play. I've deleted my cache files and stuff like I've seen online as well.

Yeah I have the games folder there.

I'm now getting this, game looks like it's going to fire up, 1st loading phase then cuts off and I'm back to my home screen on laptop.

Yeah it's ridiculous tbh. Heard nothing since either

I think refunds need to be issued. My rig can play anything so there is no excuse.

As suggested here, have you tried re-configuring your anti-virus program? - https://community.sigames.com/faq/football-manager-2020/239_technical-support/244_pc/i’ve-encountered-a-crash-dump-nothing-happens-or-steam-error-message-on-launching-the-game-r880/

If you have and you're still having issues, please post your DxDiag - https://community.sigames.com/faq/football-manager-2020/238_how-to/241_pc/how-to-find-my-system-dxdiag-r844/

And send us your Belarc as shown here - https://community.sigames.com/faq/football-manager-2020/238_how-to/241_pc/how-to-find-my-belarc-file-r856/

Thanks.

No I don't even have an anti virus on atm. I took it off to try get FM 2020 to actually work.

I'll get them when I can but this is so bad. So so bad.

Understand this is frustrating but the majority of people aren't having these issues so we need to ask questions and gather info to find out why your specific machine is seeing this problem. Thanks.
