(FM20) I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night - The Hero Challenge

Back in the old FM versions (pre-FM16) there were five Steam achievements which always interested me.

The aim is simple, take over a team in the bottom tier of the five nations above and get them to the top tier. Easy right?

So my save for FM20 will be this, and a little bit more.

My objective is to not only get a team promoted to the top tier but to also win the Top League of each nation with that team. All of this will be in the one save universe, this may take some time!

I have always admired what @Makoto Nakamurahas done, he plays quick which is just how I like to play. Sorry if I rip off your style!!

My manager, suitably named Bonnie Tyler after singing the song who's lyrics are in the title of this thread, will start Unemployed with Sunday league reputation and no coaching badges.

Wish me luck!

Pre-Season 2020/21

A massive cull! Mainly as nearly all my squad was out of contract and didn't want to stay, plus we lost 6 players who were on loan. A total of 18 players leave.

And 15 players join! The overhaul of all overhauls. Some awesome, some not so good but I ran out of wages and had to fill the squad.

I won't go through them all, but here's who I feel are my key signings:

And here's the whole squad:

Pre-season results were good, 4 easy games and good wins, 2 tough games and decent performances

The Season Preview for the National League South is for us to end 10th

The club vision also states we end Top Half, we're also currently failing to keep within the wage budget by around £800 per week

Great to see another guy at Concord. Started also as an unemployed coach with a Sunday League reputation.

Barely finished 7th in my first season, and was lucky enough to win the play-offs. Finished my first season in the national league just outside the play-offs spots as I finished 8th. I was expecting the board to expand the salary budget in the second season but instead I was cut and had to let go of my two best CM's..

Now working myself through the second season in the National League backed up by 79 fans who could afford a season ticket..

Looking forward to your story!

How are you getting on money-wise? Currently my fourth season in the national league with the lowest wages of the competition, still losing money and currently 300K in debt.

Apologies for slow reply! We are currently £425k in debt and it will definitely get worse!
