ArchieCourt Posted November 22 (edited) Managing Oxford City in Vanarama South and we only have enough money to give one extra free agent, I'm offering loads on non contracts out to free agents after trialing them but not a single player accepts them? Very annoying as a few of my own players are non contract so don't know why its so hard to get more. cheers Edited November 22 by ArchieCourt
kingjericho Posted November 23 Try to lock as non negotiable the type of contract offered as non-contract. This way the player will only negotiate the remaining clauses/bonuses. Usually when their reputation is low and the agreed playing time is limited (sub, backup, etc) they are willing to a non-contract.
enigmatic Posted November 23 Players which will accept a non-contract really ought to be restricted to a small subset of out of contract players already based in the immediate area who aren't quite reputable/good/ambitious enough to expect a permanent deal. Who'd abandon their day job to move to Oxford for a bit of beer money until you sign someone better? Would help if you could filter by players based in the area likely to accept that sort of deal though...
