A perfect start to life in Dortmund. Four games, four wins, and four clean sheets too

1461783216_Aug2026.thumb.PNG.f65d7abb652906c761ef1ae19155be56.PNG

but that wasn't quite enough to end August top of the table, as Schalke 04 have been banging the goals in.

Our perfect start to the season lasted through September too

223822203_Sep2026.thumb.PNG.ab8146fb418fed3055881cdc9332a518.PNG

and we're now four points clear a the top of the Bundesliga, having not even conceded a goal yet

1975392210_Sep2026table.thumb.PNG.921212d41a5d3d00400de64a1f458cf7.PNG

and well on track in the Champions League too, although it's back to back games against FC Barcelona up next

We had a bit of a wobble in October, losing twice

445259923_Oct2026.thumb.PNG.b3e947dbd53d707c7c4eeae6f49424e8.PNG

but the fact that the defeats were in the German Cup and Champions League means our 100pc start continues, and we lead the table by 8 points

1896888271_Oct2026table.thumb.PNG.cd5497901c74868c5a5cab2d320a982f.PNG

although, with a trip to the Nou Camp next up in the Champions League, it already looks likely that if we go through, it won't be as group winners

Another slight wobble in November

905398540_Nov2026table.thumb.PNG.4a63ff3e919a3a1fabea7987941346d1.PNG

On paper, with back-to-back defeats, January looks poor

1680195945_Jan2027.thumb.PNG.5835da73837c2b1cf16eb1bb275cd5ac.PNG

but the Bremen defeat felt like robbery

1108665026_DortvBremen2027.thumb.PNG.7f544105b2b132fa25e2d39445bb47f9.PNG

and I thought we deserved something against Monchengladbach too

413600853_BMGvDort2027.thumb.PNG.0cdfc92bdcca09c6577898f03a3c7230.PNG

but we still lead the league by 7 points, so as long as we don't have an extended run of bad results, we should be fine

We suffered another setback in February, which, like the last one in January, coincided with my first choice goalkeeper being unavailable through injury. He missed four games in January, but hopefully it's just the one this time

1166949239_Feb2027.thumb.PNG.e0bfadecbe393202cbc399af208c15da.PNG

and our lead has been cut to just four points. There is no more margin for error if we are to win the title

1231627167_May2027.thumb.PNG.93aba5b08771aa54b7a72f0558e4c663.PNG

as a slow start against Mainz left us chasing the game, and we only partially recovered

and Kabak is a centre back

I tried to sell Dan-Axel Zagadou, as he isn't going to get any game time this season, but he refused every contract he was offered. He is too good for Dortmund II, and too old for the youth team, but refuses to leave. I'll try to sell him in January, but he has three years left on his contract, so I might be stuck with him

Not yet, but there are a few tasty clubs that have their manager listed as insecure,  so hopefully one of those comes up. I wouldn't be averse to dropping down the leagues to take a project on. This is all about having fun, and being able to see progression.  Dortmund doesn't seem to be giving me either right now, which is why I've decided to go.
