Makoto Nakamura
Welcome, one and all to my FM20 beta save, Manchester United. How inspiring. We're going to see what can be done with Ed Woodward in charge of transfers (or whoever he brings in as a DoF.) Hi, I'm Ed.
Makoto Nakamura
Now I haven't disabled first window budgets so this could change, but this is the formation I'm using plus the best XI at the beginning of season 1.
Makoto Nakamura
2019/20 Pre-Season It feels like a loong time since I've done this. We had a very strong pre-season and we only conceded against Sampdoria! Predicted way down in 6th. Three in, and one sale. The regen faces are finally better! Makoto Nakamura
September 2019 Still perfect but we all down to 3rd in the league, we left it late away to West Brom but we were fielding a mixture of reserves & first teamers (Martial & James were both brought on.)
Makoto Nakamura
October 2019 A couple of slip-ups means we've already lost ground on both Man City & Liverpool, and they both have a much better goal difference already, this could be a tough season! Makoto Nakamura
November 2019 An almost perfect month sees us still holding on to a top 4 spot and we're easily through to the last 32 of the Europa League. Man City are 7 points clear already and are just running riot and Roy Hodgson becomes the first casualty of the season after losing 5-0 at home to Norwich. Makoto Nakamura
December 2019 A remarkably busy month but we came out of it unscathed, drawing at home to Liverpool and having McTominay scoring a late winner at the Etihad to give Man City their first league defeat of the season and moves us just 2 points behind them! Stade Rennais shouldn't be too difficult either.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2020 A slight blip in the middle of the month means we're now back to 8 points behind Man City, we are through to the EFL Cup Final though where we'll be facing Arsenal. No-one joins us but we send a handful of players out on loan. Edited November 1, 2019 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
February 2020 We really should have gotten 9 points from this month, but instead we got 4 and fall 14 points behind City.
Makoto Nakamura
2019/20 Youth Candidates That's not promising.
Makoto Nakamura
March 2020 A month with just the 2 league games sees us fall further behind but we did win our first silverware of the season with a big win over Arsenal in the EFL Cup and we're through to face Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi Final. Makoto Nakamura
April 2020 Almost an unbeaten month with the only blemish being the away defeat to Liverpool. We're through to the FA Cup Final where we'll be facing Crystal Palace who beat Crawley, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Chelsea and Arsenal to make the Final! BillHoudini24
Even though I really dislike Man.Utd, you've a really good job, especially by using all the youth core of the team. From what I've seen it's really tempting to get FM20, I'm still stuck on
Thebaker
In order to increase revenue and maintain the status as the biggest club (the main plan), surely the only way to achieve this is to pretty much win everything every year, else your rep will drop and the other teams increase. being in the euro league in the first season is even more likely to make this happen. Makoto Nakamura
2019/20 End of Season Review What an end to the season! We end up winning 3 pieces of silverware but ended up in 3rd place in the league, some way off of Liverpool and Manchester City (City lost 2 league games all season, both against us! ) 2019/20 Best XI David De Gea Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Victor Lindelof - Harry Maguire - Luke Shaw Danilo Pereira Paul Pogba - Andreas Pereira Jesse Lingard Marcus Rashford Anthony Martial Pogba GoTY.mp4
Makoto Nakamura
Two players retiring, I've advised Ashley Young to become a manager so he's now doing a National C Licence, it will be good to see if ex-players can find themselves managing against me. Makoto Nakamura
2020/21 Pre-Season A perfect pre-season and we're Community Shield winners! It's always good to get one over City! A lot of people left the club. We've lost Pogba but we're expected up in 3rd, and to make a Champions League Semi Final appearance...no pressure. Klopp with the surprise resignation as he leaves to manage Germany. Two youth players, Dias is a new starting DC, maybe in rotation with Lindelof and Havertz is Pogba's replacement.

Minuy600
Makoto, quick question, are you gonna make a similar database with all other countries like you did last year? Most missing African and North American leagues (save for the Comoros, Wallis & Futuna, Saint Pierre & Miquelon and Mayotte) now have a proper league set up for them so that makes it all the more immersive.

Makoto Nakamura
September 2020 We drop our first points at home to West Ham whilst Man City have started the season how they finished the last, practically unstoppable. Makoto Nakamura
November 2020 A terrible month in the league, we had 8 shots on target against Bournemouth compared to their 1 shot total and against Leicester, Jamie Vardy scored a 90th minute winner. Makoto Nakamura
December 2020 A shock exit in the EFL Cup and we haven't had the best of months, but we're still up in 3rd and 7 points inside the top 4, we also face Lyon in the Champions League 1st Knockout Round in a repeat of last season's Europa League Final. Makoto Nakamura
April 2021 Almost the perfect month and we only conceded one goal!
