[Norway] Data Issues

Recommended Posts

Please post any data issues related to Norway here.

As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

We also request you please adhere to the following three point plan when posting in the data topics:

·        State what you think is specifically wrong with a particular piece of data.

·        State what you think the data should be.

·        State reasons/proof for your suggested corrections/improvements.

Please note that any non-data issues for Norway should be posted in the appropriate thread within the League Specific Issues Forum. This would include issues such as league scheduling and league rules.

In-game, Odds BK have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and U19-teams. This is wrong. IRL they only have 1st, 2nd and U19-teams.

This also seems to be the case for Stabæk and Tromsø.

I'm the researcher for Egersund - I sent a mail to my head researcher what changes needs to be made for Egersund - if any higher ups see this feel free to change it directly if there's time before official release! :)

New contracts for players and staff:

  • Bubacarr Sumareh to 31.12.2020 (signed 18.10.19)

  • Deniss Korneiciks to 31.12.2020 (signerd (20.10.19)

  • Marcel Wawrzynkiewicz to 31.12.2021 (signed 19.10.19)

  • Markus Naglestad to 31.12.2020 (signed 28.10.19)

  • Chris Sleveland to 31.12.2020 (signed 25.10.19)

  • Nikolai Larsen Berg to 31.12.2020 (signed 26.10.19)
  • Manager, Ojan Bijan  to 31.12.2020 (signed 01.11.19)

Player transfer: Ermal Hajdari from Levanger (signed 27.10.19), contract to 31.12.2020 (25 games 7 goals this season if you want to write in history from the season that was).

Staff released: Player/Assistant Manager Are Strømland

New staff: New Assistant Manager, Aleksander Midtsian. Signed from Brodd, where he was manager. Signed contract 29.10.19, contract to 31.12.2020.

Edit: The stadium, Idrettsparken, has the wrong capacity. It's not an 5300 capacity all seater stadium. In the XLS sheet I sent in I specified the capacity to be 2600, with 500 seats. Expansion capacity at 5300.

In the "pick a club" screen I believe Nest-Sotra's finances are wrong, when stated as "ok".

The club has been deducted 4 points(on two seperate occasions) this season for failure to comply with the league's financial goals. This should in my opinion be enough evidence to at least put them down a notch. The club is also merging with other smaller clubs for the next season, which many believes is because of their financial problems and issues.

In my Vålerenga save both Ivan Näsberg and Markus Nakkims contracts expires after the 2019 season. IRL their contracts expires in 2022. Proof:

http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/nakkim-2022

Mohammed Fellah is not injured, he has been on the pitch three times this autumn.

Also Felipe Carvalho acceleration is set way too low. In my save his acceleration is 10, but IRL he is probably one of the fastest defenders in the Eliteserien. Both pace and acceleration should be 13+ imo. Hope this is the right forum for issues with player stats.

Strictly speaking, it's just Nest-Sotra Fotball changing the name to Øygarden FK, no "new club".

Have reported the contract extensions. Fellah was injured until the summer/autumn, before he made his comeback for Vålerenga, so the injury is correct.

Felipe Carvalho is currently playing in Nacional in Uruguay, so if you feel there is an issue with his attributes, you should direct it to the Uruguay data issues thread.

It's set in the database as a future transfer for 01.01.2020. Please provide a screenshot if he's already at AZ in a save in early 2019, that should not be the case.

No, he is still in Bodø/Glimt, but the signing didnt happen until september 2019, so he should not have signed for AZ in february 2019 was what i meant.

Same with Amor Layouni. Not in the squad in february, and he didnt sign for Pyramids FC until september 2019.

It's always been official SI policy to complete transfers in the database in real-time.

Andreas Helmersen was loaned out to Odd from Rosenborg, but a terrible knee injury in February put him on the sideline for a while. He is still not fit, and Odd quit the loan deal a while back.

There is still doubt if he will make it back to the football pitch, but as of now, he is contracted to Rosenborg.

Correct, it's a punching mistake. Or "lack of punching" mistake. The issue is currency - when currency is not specified in the database, the game defaults it to GBP. Which is NOK X 10.

This one has been fixed.

Not entirely sure if this is the right place, but Fredrikstad FK, home kit - The "borders" (end of sleeves, collar) are black in-game, but the real kits have no borders. The jersey is plain white.

Also, Kjell Rune Sellin no longer plays for the club. He transferred to Strømmen during the summer.

In Eidsvoll Turn Markus Furseth is a central defender. I believe he has never played in that position in his life. For the last 2 seasons he has been their regular right back, and should also have wing back. Its hard to prove things on this level, but I have seen several matches with them this year (due to them meeting some Oslo teams I follow) and he has been right back in all of those matches.

I also read that he was voted best right back of the season in Romerikes Blad, so he might need a bit of an upgrade, does not seem very good compared to the level he plays at.

And another thing with Eidsvoll Turn: Andre Nordlie should be a central defender and maybe 12-14 on defensive midtfielder and Kristoffer Nordlie should have 20 on defensive midfielder and 18 on central midfielder.

Both of these brothers are set up that they can play left back, but none of them have played a single match in that position (or winger) for years.

Are anyone actually covering Vålerenga? I looked through their squad after the latest update, and there are a lot of transfers in and out, both staff and players, that are wrong or missing.

- Efrain Juarez left the club after his contract expired https://www.aftenposten.no/sport/fotball/i/70MQpW/fire-spillere-ferdig-i-vaalerenga

- Sakarias Opsahl has gone on loan to Tromsø http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/sakarias-opsahl-til-tromso

- Håkon Lunov has left the club http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/haakon-lunov-slutter-i-valerenga

- Lars Tjærnås has left the club http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/lars-tjaernas-slutter-i-valerenga

- Mohammed Dajani has been promoted to fitness coach for the first team http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/ny-fysisk-trener-moa

- Kenneth Dokken has been appointed as new assistant manager http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/ny-assistenttrener-kenneth-dokken

- Petter Øren has left the club for Sarpsborg 08 http://www.vif-fotball.no/nyheter/ny-fysisk-trener-moa

- The issue with Näsbergs contract that I have reported earlier in this thread is still not fixed. His contract still expires after the 2019 season in my save.

- Fredrik Oldrup Jensen has been signed from Zulte Waregem.

Sorry if this is harsh, but I really expect better than this from a game that I actually pay money for every year. Pretty much all of these things are basic stuff that everyone who follows Vålerenga should know about.

Hi there. Opsahl, Lunov, Tjærnås, Øren left the club after the Vålerenga data was delivered for this deadline.

The same goes for the signings of Kenneth Dokken, Dajani and Oldrup Jensen. These announcements and transfers happened around mid-february. The issue here is mainly that the data patch is tailored for the transfer window in the major European leagues, which ends January 31st, while clubs continue to do business until April here in Norway.

Efrain Juarez to NYCFC is a different story, that one should have been completed both by me and my Vålerenga assistant. So apologies for that one.

Everything has been reported to be fixed now.

Geir Kåsene returned to Lillestrøm SK as Physio and Fitness coach (combined role) in 2016, game says he has been unemployed since 2015.

https://www.facebook.com/LillestromSK/videos/geir-kåsene-tilbake-i-lsk/10153708066770095/

Also, Alex Hrcka Sannes and Edmund Owusu signed professional contracts this fall and should be in the game, especially Sannes as he was LSK 2's top scorer even in the 2019 season.
Apipon Tognoy also signed a pro contract until 2022 but is on a unprotected youth contract in the game.

https://www.lsk.no/nyheter/sannes-owusu-og-tongnoy-skrev-proffkontrakter

And Sindre Mauritz Hansen has not been offered a contract with LSK yet, he's been on trial all winter but a decision is yet to be made, but for some reason he has been given a 1 yr contract in the game.

and finally, though this may be the wrong sub-forum for this post, but in Norway we always play games on may 16th, it's our "boxing day match" and seen as the highlight of the season for many fans.
In my save now we actually have a game on may 17th, which is the constitutional day/national day of norway.

I've forwarded the LSK points to my assistant there.

About the 16th of May, believe me, we've been trying to get that right since I started in this job. And it's created any number of scheduling issues in-game.

But in the tests I've run lately, the game has scheduled full rounds on the 16th, as it should be. How many seasons have you played in that particular save? Are no matches played on the 16th, or just some?

Hi.

I am the researcher for Lillestrøm, thanks for the feedback! Must admit that I was in the middle of a moving process in my privat life in the weeks before deadline, so no excuse, but this was not my best job.

Kåsene is a big mistake and sloppy work by me. Cant understand that I have overlooked this for so long, seems strange.

About Sannes and Owusu I agree, they will be added next deadline.

Mauritz Hansen, I was just as surprised as you. This is not the work done by me, but probably by the Stabæk reasearcher. I have never asked for him to be transfered :)

Again, thanks for the feedback and will try to improve next time. Please come with further suggestions if you find anything more wrong things.

I have just started a new save after the winter transfer update, first season in the 2020 league, it seems the game is treating the 16th of may like any ordinary round, 1 match played on Sat the 16th, 5 matches played on the 17th and 1 match on monday the 18th of may in Eliteserien,
same with Obos except they have 6 matches on the 17th of may and no monday match.
Postnord league 1 & 2 have 5 matches on the 16th of may and 2 on the 17th.

ES.thumb.png.f2fe455b5385b9d4de806dd04ef04aea.pngObos.thumb.jpg.fc1c1fd0e85a92f51aab4a688dfcd714.jpg

This is not really a big problem though, more like a curiosity as I've seen the EPL have the christmas program nailed down with boxing day matches and very little rest,
the errors in playing and staff squad are way more important in my opinion.

@Apaco Another contract "error" in the game is Sheriff Sinyan, he signed a new contract in April 2019 keeping him at Åråsen until 2022, but in the game his contract expires in 2020.

https://www.lsk.no/nyheter/sheriff-sinyan-signerte-kontrakt-ut-2022

Also, though this may not be a Norwegian database error, but the loanee Kain Karinen's contract with parent club Midtjylland expires at the end of 2020, not 2021 as the game says.
Simon Mesfin (LSKs DOF) have talked about the possibility that we may sign him permanently if Midtjylland lets his contract run out after the year long loan expires, though I am not able to find the video interview where he says it right now, it's being talked about on LSKs fan forum KFL.no if you happen to be a member there.

Hi again.

The loan deal is done by the Midtjylland researcher, but I will edit it the next time I get the database (have not had access to this player yet). I am member of the forum and I know that what you tell is how it is, but the dates are done by a danish researcher.

So, the much anticipated 20.4 patch has been out now since before the weekend, with database changes for some european february transfer windows according to the posting from SI-staff, but I still have Mauritz-Hansen on my team and no Geir Kåsene. When was/is this next deadline you mentioned?

Does this mean we/I have to wait for FM21 in 8 months time to play a proper LSK-save? If so, that is quite a bummer as I expect them to win promotion this season, and not having the real-life playing or staffing squad kinda takes away the feeling of FM simulating real life as I wanted to be the one to win promotion and lead LSK back to former glory on FM20.

As a 4th patch after the winter transfer third patch isn't how SI normally have done things I really dont expect a 5th patch, unless any of you have some inside info on that part?

Bonus question: I've heard SI-staff say that messing around with the editor can make your game crash a few seasons into the game, does that go for players/staff contracts edited in the editor as well, or is that more in relevance to editing leagues and competitons? I've had my game crash a few times in previous installments of FM when I used Reyes lower league DB for norway,
but if the risk is minimal (or even better, non-existent) if I for example remove Mauritz Hansen from my team, fix the contract lengths on key players and talents as mentioned earlier in this thread and add Geir Kåsene in a combined Physio/Fitness coach?

And what about if I create some players like Edmund Owusu and Alex Hrcka Sannes, does that create an even bigger risk of crashing the game than if I just edit contracts on already existing persons?x

Maybe @LarsC knows more about these specific questions as he is head researcher? Or if any of you could point me to a better suited sub-forum to ask the latter questions as they are more about general game play/crashing than league database specifically?

@zindrinho As long as you dont go to crazy with the editor you should be fine. I always create an editor file to clean up some of the mistakes in the database anyways, i often have 15 000+ changes made to the database and never had an issue with the game crashing.

I am afraid the next deadline is fm21 as the researcher only gets to edit the database twice a year.

But it is easy to do the fixes in the editor by yourself. And such small changes is problem free. As in the post above I have also always done more than 20.000 edits in my own database and never had any problems.

OK, thanks for the reply.

Without telling what the rest of the talents has as set potential, could you give me a hint as to what potential you would give Alex Hrcka Sannes?
I'm thinking he would be just one notch under Baccay and Apipon Tongnoy which probably are our biggest talents. And what level of CA would you recommend?

Same question for Edmund Owusu, his CA is really hard to judge as the coaching staff have been very clear on the fact he is not a part of the senior squad, or really in contention for a place there this yr.
He got a real run-around in the Tipping-Ligaen last yr, but that was his debut at a very tender age, so if the CA is set too low it would take way longer than IRL for him to come up to speed with 3.division (tipping-ligaen)
