DementedHammer
Those scouting enhancements sound like a good step in the right direction.
janrzm
I read the blog post earlier and mulled it over breakfast. Ability to sort columns on Analyst and Scout priorities was so desperately lacking it could almost have been considered a bug IMO. The "Fits Tactic" button looks excellent though. When a scout leaves a club, the amount of data lost is a variable in my view. At the very least, you shouldn't be losing any accrued reports immediately, they should degrade over time. At a top level club where data is centralised and recorded, I would expect the impact to be far less that at a bottom end club with reduced infrastructure around scouting data? I'd have liked to have seen a more detailed graphical representation of my scouts locations at any given time also countries broken down to their regions. If my focus is solely on Eastern Europe then I want an enlarged view of that area as my default for knowledge. I do think scouting has come a long way in the last couple of FM's but it seems like an easy win to add way more detail. Also, it still feels generic, between clubs with the only real anomaly being scouting budget. Edited October 26, 2019 by janrzm
99
Improvements on the Match Engine are the number one priority for me. Happy to read it and eagerly waiting for Beta. Edited October 25, 2019 by
SazoJohnno
Having read the scouting blog and I am really happy with the changes, some of them I never knew I needed and some of those I wanted for a long time. I have already made scouting centre my home in FM19 and I suspect I might as well sleep there in FM20. Fantastic progress on scouting progress. Keep it up
autohoratio
Quote When a scout leaves the club the overall scouting process is disturbed. The data they’ve collected gets lost and their role as a cog within the department ends. If a scout has an assignment due, their departure disrupts those potential findings. In FM20 when a scout leaves the club their tasks are reassigned to the scouting pool, so the transition is as smooth as possible, allowing the rest of the team to pick up on their previous work. This all now happens smoothly behind the scenes, without you having to re-work the assignments or worry you’re missing out. Can this part be clarified? Are you saying that this is how it used to work in FM19, or how it works now in FM20?

ak71
Hi, there. Kindly watch this clip from the match. I believe that it is at 17:49. Kehrer is receiving a pass from Verrati. Kehrer manage to teceive the ball without even looking. Will we see this super pass during launch day..? I had seen quite a number of such passing in FM19. Will feel very disappointed if the same happen in FM20. Edited October 28, 2019 by ak71
armbi
"You’ll notice various new motion-captured animations as well, particularly when players are controlling the ball and dribbling." Hope to finally see that, especially dribbling animations!
Teme55
This is Fantastic and realistic as well, much needed. Thank you FM TEAM! This is just one of them, but these are the little things that makes this game the best in the world. "Also new to FM20 are scouting reminders, another way in which your staff can assist you through your news items. When a player’s report goes out of date (after a substantial length of time) you might like to check up on him again, to see how he’s progressed since the last time you assigned someone to watch him." It was more seeable previous FMs.
