Player signing - pre- talks

For a while now I have thought that the signing players needs a bit of a remodelling. 
 

for instance you always hear when a lesser team sign a great player, the player comes out and says something like ‘I Really like the 5 year plan of the club’ or that the manager had called the player trying to convince him to sign. 
 

I think there needs to be more interaction when trying to sign players. Way to convince them to sign when you are not a huge club.
