Fotbal Club Viitorul Constanța, commonly known as Viitorul Constanța or simply Viitorul, is a Romanian professional football club based in Ovidiu, Constanța County, currently playing in the Liga I. Viitorul Constanța was founded in the summer of 2009 and enrolled in the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system, after acquiring the playing rights of CSO Ovidiu. It has been owned since its creation by former Romanian international Gheorghe Hagi. The club is particularly known for promoting young talents from its academy,hence the nickname "Hagi's Kids". One thing I'll also say is that the youth academy for Vitroul is also brilliant That is just a small glimpse of the potential currently at the club, there are many more currently out on loan The Romania League has a pretty cool structure similar to the Scottish League in that after 26 games are played it is split into A Champions and Relegation stage. lblanc Posted September 2, 2019 Author Share Posted September 2, 2019 Well first 3 months down with Viitorul. what a fantastic little team I must say June was quiet enough getting fitness up but some very good results 1-1 with Galatasaray was a brilliant way to end a productive first month. July was when my competitive games begun with the Europa League qualifiers And a great way to start the league campaign with two wins over rivals for the top places. A 3 -0 win over Atromitos in the 2nd qualifying round gave me a healthy lead for the second leg. Vina, Hagi and Matan sent my 52 away fans home happy and looking forward to the 3rd round of qualifiers where Molde would await me. Back to that in a moment as for the league Only the one win during August and my first defeat to Craiova Though with a game in hand i'm still doing very well with a win in my next game bringing me back into the top 2 at least. Now onto Europe as said I drew Molde. They were heavy favourites of course but in the first leg I decided to put it to them. And a stoppage time winner gives me a slim advantage. I knew it would be tough in Norway and that they would come at me knowing 1 goal could see them through But Alexandru Matan sent my 10 fans back to Romania looking forward to another away day in Europe. Where I would face Copenhagen... and what an away day in Europe it was for 8 of those fans two early counter attacks and I put myself in an amazing position to make the Group stage What seemed like the longest match I've ever played in FM I managed to defy all the odds to keep ahead and take my place in the Europa League Group Stage These were the stats for that match as you can see Copenhagen pushed me hard. As for the draw I knew going into it as 4th seeds I wasn't going to be getting the most favorable of draws well judge for yourself As tough a draw as you could get for a team of my stature. An update on transfers for a change to let the Director of football handle the transfers, in terms of the overall squad the team is well balanced only real cover needed is for Hagi on the right wing and another CF to help out Dragus and Rivaldinho. My DoF obviously concurred with this and brought in two players on loan from Craiova First up Nuno Rocha Not the best at finishing but I like his versatility to play in most positions. Next in Cesar Meza Colli He can play both wings (he's actually more comfortable on the the left wing as a winger but he can do a job as the inside forward on the left making him great cover when needed also a makeshift CF if I again really need it.
