My situation is pretty similar to the one outlined here:

I'm an Xbox Game Pass for PC subscriber (up until 2021). I installed the game about a week ago. I had some issues getting it up and running, I had to uninstall a Windows Update, but I got it working in the end.

When playing the game, it would crash about 80-90% of the time when I saved the game, either autosaving or manually saving. Happened both when I was saving locally and saving to the cloud. It always completed saving, however, so it was just a matter of relaunching the game and picking up from where I left off.

Ran into issue a couple of days ago. While playing my career, I tried to load a previous save and the game crashed while doing so. This appeared to corrupt my save as any time I tried to select my 'Most Recent' save from the start screen, I would get a message telling me it failed to load and the game would load a duplicate of my manager avatar that would glitch into the other one.

When I press 'Load Game' from the start screen, the game will crash almost instantly. I have the game installed on both a laptop and a PC and the same things happens on both devices.

I also cannot start a new career. I can chose my team and set up my manager profile but once that is complete, the game crashes.

I have tried the following steps to resolve the issue but none worked:

- Reinstalled the Xbox (Beta) app

- Reinstalled Football Manager 2019

- Reset the app in Windows

- Changed the graphics quality in game to 'Very Low'

Actually I'm having a similar issue. The game was working fine for some time and suddenly started to crash randomly (most of the times, when I press "continue" or the space bar). I asked for help twice to english@segaeurope.zendesk.com, but so far the solutions "install the version of Windows you just told us you have installed" and "reset the app" are not working. I also attached the same DXDIAG I sent to them.

I'm using this game on Windows 10 Pro (1903) through Xbox Game Pass and I play on a Intel 4790K with 24GB of RAM, 512GB SSD and and Nvidia 1660. Is the only game (the only software) I have problems with. Of course, every software involved is up to date. Xbox app, the game, Windows...

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Right now I'm on the version 431.36, the last released by Nvidia on July 9th and, of course, nothing changed sinced I installed them (usually I keep my drivers updated). The game works if you don't do things (you can leave it there, in some menu forever), but once you press something it's only a matter of time. Sometimes you can "play" 5 min, sometimes 15. But that's all.

As I said, the game used to work just fine, until one day this "problem" started. It's the only game I have problems with in general and within "Game Pass" in particular. In my case I have no problems loading or saving, in the cloud nor in the hard drive.

Same for me ...its the most ******** i have ever seen

Yes, I read your thread. I opened the first ticket on Jun 21st and still nothing, it's unbelievable. However, looking at the bright side, "at least" in Game Pass there are other games to play with. Imagine if we pay 55€ on Steam xD

I'm the OP. The issue still hasn't been resolved for me. I've tried on both my laptop and desktop but the game still crashes. My DxDiag for the desktop is attached, don't know if it's any use? The fact that it's happening on two completely different devices makes me think it's definitely an issue your end rather than mine. I'm able to play other  games from the Game Pass app without problems.

Hope ye can sort it out.

We are still working on fixing this issue and will make announcement once we have any update on this load game issue.

@No1Scruff When you say the game still crashes, are you referring when you click the load game button? If so , would you be able to upload your save game to SI Cloud Service and let us know the name of the save so we can take a look at it, please?

Thanks.

Hey,

Ya, it crashes whenever I click the load game button, on both PC and desktop. I had switched to saving to the cloud I think but I've uploaded my game file that is in My Documents/Sports Interactive. It's named 'No1Scruff - 18.07.19'.

"No1.Scruff" is a xml file which isn't the save game. You default save game is located at C:\Users\jimmy.wong\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2019\gamepass\games and should be a .fm file.

That xml file is the only file in the folder. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game previously trying to get it to work. Maybe I lost the save then?

Did you save the game on cloud or local?

I think I started saving locally but switched to cloud.

Thank you, we are able to reproduce this now and we are actively looking into this.

There is a potential workaround for this issue. Can you try disconnecting your network and see if you can click on load game, please? Thanks.

This has worked but it's very unstable.

The first time I launched the game, I was able to access my cloud save but it crashed instantly after loading. When I relaunched the game, I was able to load the save through the 'Most Recent' button and it loaded successfully.

I was able to progress a couple of hours in-game and save successfully to the cloud. When I tried to save locally to create a save file on my laptop, the game crashed.

Thank you for your feedback, this suggest there is an issue with the cloud saving system. We will take this into account during our investigation.

In the meanwhile, we would suggest you to disconnect network while playing FM19 and would also save the game locally at all time until further notice. Thanks.
