An unbeaten, but very frustrating start to the season

as an 80th minute equaliser from SPAL which was their first of only two shots on target against us, and an 89th minute penalty for Milan cost us 4 points that would have seen us finish the month top. I can't help but think that if we'd had John between the sticks, we'd have won both games. I'm not sure if I'll be at Atalanta much longer :(

September was perfect in Serie A, and we did brilliantly to come back from 3-0 down against Real Madrid, but couldn't repeat the trick against a rampant PSG who overran us in the first half

The improvement in league form has seen us move into the top four

and our hopes of finishing third in our Champions League group hang on back-to-back games with Benfica over the next two months, beginning with a trip to Éstadio da Luz. With the top two facing back to back games against each other, second place could be out of reach before I face either of them again

A solid, but not spectacular October

and although we're in the top four, defeat to Juventus and dropping points to Palermo in a game we bossed from, start to finish, sees a gap open at the top

but the win over Benfica in the Champions League means that if we beat them again, we'll be assured of at least third place and Europa League football after Christmas

We won five out of eight games in all competitions in February. Not bad at all, considering that three of those eight were against Juventus, and one of the two defeats was a Europa League second leg which we had all but put to bed in the first leg. The Napoli defeat was one of those games where the opposition score early (after 2 minutes this time) and then hold on. We banged on the door for 88 minutes, but couldn't find a way through.

and that leaves us in third place, 8 points clear of the Europa League spots. Barring a disaster, Bergamo should be hosting Champions League football again next season

A very nearly perfect April, the only game we didn't win was the first leg against Liverpool, and we managed to overturn that in the second leg

and that has got us into a three way title battle, although we're the outsiders of the three

December saw my first defeat as Barcelona boss, although not in La Liga

where we extend our advantage to nine points, although we've played a game more than Real Sociedad

and 15 points from our 6 Champions League games wasn't enough to top the group, so we finish runners up to Manchester United

Aboslutely great progress. Not many places you can go which would be considered an improvement on Barcelona!

Thanks andychar :) , and according to the Coefficents, there are only two clubs that are ahead of Barcelona in the world right now. If I want to move to one of them, I'd have to go back to England
