To gather more information, can you tell us the model of your Mac please? You can find out in "About This Mac".

Thank you.

Thank you, Can you try using Australia as the download region and see if it works, please? You can do this via Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Download Region. If it doesn't work I will suggest you to try every region to see if one works.

By any chance you have anti-virus installed on the Mac?

What anti-virus are you using? Can you make sure that your anti-virus is not scanning Football Manager and Steam, please? Anti-virus could interfere with updates and downloads.

Mines started working from yesterday morning. I uninstalled all of steam. EVERY steam folder was deleted on my macbook. Then I reinstalled it all and currently working fine (touch wood!).

Avast. That doesn't seem to be the problem. has never been an issue before. I have uninstalled steam, reinstalled, and it still will not open (after I changed the download region to australia)

I have FM and Steam as exceptions. Steam will not open since I changed the download region to Australia. When I put in my password, it closes. I can see it disappear from 'force quit applications' when I type in my password. previously Steam would open but FM would not.

What do you mean by "not opening", did any message pop up when you tried to launch Steam?

Sometimes anti-virus can interfere with update and download, as a test we would suggest you to make sure that you have FM and Steam as exception for your anti-virus.

I am having the same problem!

Have you tried all the suggestions Jimmy has made in this thread so far?

Hi all, I am having the same problem as in this thread. Is there a solution?

So far I have tried:

  1. Changing the download region. As my local region didn't work I'm working through each region from A-Z but all the regions I've tried so far have given the error message manifest unavailable. Not too keen to keep doing this because it'll be pretty consuming.
  2. Clearing download cache, didn't change anything
  3. Verifying game files, didn't do anything just loaded at 0%
  4. Repairing library folder, the only options were to make a default folder and remove a default folder
  5. Restarting machine

I'm using a macbook pro (2012) version 10.14. Like the user earlier in this thread I'm not keen on updating to version 10.14.5 because downloading the last update nearly killed my computer! I'm not using a VPN and no anti virus software.

I can try to uninstall/remove steam but wasn't sure exactly how to go about removing all steam related folders. Also scared to do this because I have a save i've invested a lot of time in and really don't want to lose. Is there a way to protect the save if I do this?

Please help!

Cheers

Hi I would suggest you to reinstall both Steam and FM19, if possible.

Uninstalling Steam or FM19 will not delete your save game, but if you feel safer to back up the save file you can find your save file in the following location:

/Users/[Your Mac Username]/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2019/games

I was still having the issue of "manifest unavailable" on my 2016 MacBook (up tp date) and this fix worked like a charm! all my games / updates have downloaded fully!! Thank you!
