Champions League Participation Question

Hi guys i have a question.

I play FM17 as i prefer it over the later versions but i am also a bit of an update freak so i like to keep it up to date with promotions, relegations, league placements, cup winners etc.

I found the list of teams that participate in the Champions League and Europe League so i updated them using the current teams that have qualified for the 2019/2020 season Obviously one or two teams needed to be omitted as i believe the structure has changed for next season and there are more teams now than there were back in the 2016/2017 season.

However, for some reason Barcelona won't play in either competition for me in the first season.

A breakdown of what i did was the following:-

- Their previous league position is 1st for La Liga

- The history of La Liga is set to have them as the current champions

- The Copa del Rey is set with them as the losing finalists

- They are set as a registered team in the Champions League with the year 2016, info level 1

I have updated the country UEFA coefficients to the current ones as well but i have not touched the individual club coefficients.

What i have noticed is that it appears as though Man Utd have replaced them instead of playing in the Europa League.

Any ideas what it could be that's messed up?

I can submit the .fmf file i am using if required.
