I wasn't invited to my neighbours bloc party, so I'm having to peak through the curtain.

CSKA Sofia anniversary emblem

CSKA is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Sofia and currently competing in the country's premier football competition, the First League. CSKA is an abbreviation for Central Sports Club of the Army (Bulgarian: Централен Спортен Клуб на Армията).

Officially established on 5 May 1948, CSKA's roots date back to an army officers' club founded in 1923. The club has won a record 31 Bulgarian titles and 20 Bulgarian Cups.Internationally, CSKA are the only Bulgarian club to have reached the semi-finals of the European Cup, which they have done twice, and they have also reached the semi-final of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup once.

CSKA's home colors are red and white and its home ground is the Bulgarian Army Stadium. The club's biggest rivals are Levski Sofia and matches between the two sides are known as "The Eternal Derby of Bulgaria".

Excellent finish to your time in Poland, loved seeing the gradual progression there en route to total domination in your last season. How do CSKA and the Bulgarian league rate compared to Rakow and the Ekstraklasa in terms of rep, finances, European coefficients, etc?

The Bulgarian league is slightly weaker being ranked 17th whilst the Ekstraklasa is ranked 12th, the previouss CSKA-Sofia manager took my old job but both clubs are ranked 3.5* so very similar.

Yes! Great choice for a club. You'll find the league easier than the Polish one though.

Hopefully!

We have been really, really unlucky, the only game where we were even slightly worse in the stats was the loss against Arda, and the biggest shock is a win against Milan!

Very good to see two Croatian clubs make it to the last 16 along with Krasnodar.

And we get blooming Chelsea. Very good to see 10 playable Eastern European sides make the last 32 of the Europa League!

Great read. Had always thought about an Eastern Europe save as a career idea and in lieu of having time to play FM much lately it is good reading this thread.

Glad you've enjoyed the thread so far, we have a lot left to achieve!
