TerminalPortugal
Well we beat Consadole on the final day. Kashima blew it on the final day. Kawasaki hold on at Vissel to win the title in the most understated way possible. We finish in second place, one place behind Kawasaki Frontale and even on points with Kashima Antlers, whom just approached us to come in to interview for their managers position. I am not sure yet whether we would leave Kashiwa.

TerminalPortugal
Time for the air miles calculation. We won 41 games this season The equation is as follows:- 3 x 5.5 x 1 x 1 = 16.5 air miles per win = 676.47 miles won this season, added to the 1,727.77 air miles we already have means we now have 2,404.24 air miles. The map now looks like this:- More of Russia is now available but there is no new leagues to add. A closer look at our range into Russia.
TerminalPortugal
The new league season is soon upon us and the Nabisco Cup has been drawn and we are against Bellmare, Trinita and Yokoham F Marinos.
TerminalPortugal
A new addition to the squad as the chairman brings in Yuta Arimitsu from Yokohama F Marinos for £350k.
TerminalPortugal
Another addition by the Chairman as Hidemasa Nishimura comes to the club for £725k from Oita Trinita.
TerminalPortugal
The chairman brings in a new Director of Football, hopefully he will be good. In fairness the chairman seems to make a pretty decent DoF, I was happy for him to continue.
TerminalPortugal
A strange move as we loan in Ri Chol on loan from Vissel Kobe. Not really sure is he has much of role to play here, but we shall see.
TerminalPortugal
We sell Norweigan keeper Underhaug at a small profit. I don't think he played a game for us, so happy for him to go to Trinita and try and get some games there.
TerminalPortugal
We let Ryosuke Makino go as he should get a lot less game time here and we can sell him at a premium of £1.8m, considering we bought him for £125k a couple of years ago.
TerminalPortugal
Nothing much has changed in our odds, we are expected to finish 8th again this season.
TerminalPortugal
Another nice signing as we get Naoaki Furuta from Yokohama F Marinos for £775k. He will be a good addition in defense.

TerminalPortugal
The world ranking for Japan as competitive matches are about to kick off this season is 21st in the world. So that is a modifier of 573%.
TerminalPortugal
The AFC Champions League draw has been made and we face Eastern of Hong Kong, Guangzhou Evergrande of China and Jeonbuk of South Korea in Group G.
TerminalPortugal
We bring in Ken Sasaki from Oita Trinita for £325k, we probably needed another defensive midfielder so am happy to have him in the squad.
TerminalPortugal
The first month of the season and our first competitive fixtures have gone very well as we win both our league games and beat Jeonbuk in the Champions League. The early table of the season looks nice as we sit in 2nd place.
TerminalPortugal
Koichi Mizuno comes in from CSKA Moscow for £1.5m. He is an international for Japan with 79 caps, but his quality in waining. Still having quality first and second options is a luxury so he's a good addition I feel.
TerminalPortugal
We decide to cash in on Koki Orikasa as he is now probably fourth choice centre back at the club and we don't really need him. I nickle and dime Kawasaki Frontale up to £2.5m for him, we bought him for £1.6m a few years ago so we make a tidy profit.
TerminalPortugal
A good acquisition here, young Indonesian Joko Nugroho was available on a free transfer and I think he is a good prospect, so happy to see him compete for the full back spot.
TerminalPortugal
Dual national Brazilian/Japanese Rafael Busacca comes in from Gamba Osaka for £180k. We just sold a centre back so it s a cheap signing.
TerminalPortugal
New signing Joko Nugroho, is better served getting some first team football elsewhere in the J-League this season so I am happy to agree that he go to Yamaga for a season on loan. TerminalPortugal
Another month is in the books and it was pretty good month overall. We had one terrible result at home to Yokohama F Marinos in the Nabisco Cup, but rather it happen there than in the league in my view, plus I still don't understand how we lost, let alone by 3-0 as we were much the better side. We recoved in the Nabisco Cup to gather to wins out of the next two fixtures, plus we won in the Champions League against Jeonbuk and we look great value for a Quarter Final berth. We sit in the final Champions League spot, three points behind Vissel Kobe, whom have started surprisingly well this season. Guangzhou and ourselves are pretty much there in terms of qualification. Three way tie at the top and Bellmare are the whipping boys. Results between us and Yokohama and Trinita will decide this.
TerminalPortugal
To be honest this was quite an annoying month, with some very bad losses along the way. We seem to be unable to play Yokohama it would appear this season, we have played them three times, conceded 5 and scored none, which is very poor. Losing to Kashima as well was a real bad result, not because they are bad, because they are clearly not but we seemingly can't rise to the big games and get results. We are flat track bullies at the moment and it is costing us. We are in a bit of a false position on acccount of the games we have played compared to all the other teams, but importantly Kashima and Urawa are now ahead of us, so title aspirations are receeding. TerminalPortugal
We face JEF United in the Quarter Final of the Nabisco Cup.

TerminalPortugal
Champions League 2nd Round and really considering our away record, I am very worried about the second leg after this result. Probably advantage to us, but it's very close.
TerminalPortugal
Well it came down to an 87th minute penalty saving our bacon, as we get through against Kawasaki Frontale to qualify for the Quarter Finals of the Champions League.
TerminalPortugal
Well it's been a complete embarrassment this month. Absolutely pathetic beyond belief as we implode and go on a four game losing streak. We won 2 out of 9. The league is gone and the Champions League was hanging by a thread until a penalty saved us. We create plenty of chances but have just stopped scoring goals. I'm furious! All ambitions of a title challenge are over, even qualifying for the Champions League looks far fetched. We sit 8th, and I am asking myself why didn't I take the Kashima job at this stage.
TerminalPortugal
We really need to buck up our ideas here as we struggle to beat this lower league side in the first leg of the Tennohai.
TerminalPortugal
We play Veertien Mie in the next round of the Tennohai.
TerminalPortugal
A short month of fixtures and we recover some form and defensive consistency. I'm still annoyed at the team, it's either hot or cold it would appear with these players. We move up to 7th, the target now has to get back into the Champions League places, we have games in hand over a lot of teams so could still come back, but I am not particularly hopeful at the moment. TerminalPortugal
The DoF brings in Carlos Lepe at goalkeeper, not sure that was a particular area we needed to focus on.

TerminalPortugal
Nabisco Cup first leg is a disappointment for us we can't break through JEF United. The second leg will be a difficult affair now.
TerminalPortugal
A much better month, only one loss to Urawa, which may have been expected but we were leading then had a man sent off and ended up capitulating. everywhere else we were good. We move up to 5th in the table with 2nd place when within view. Kashima are well ahead however so a title challenge looks out of the question. TerminalPortugal
This guy hasn't really worked out, so selling him at a small profit, is fine to me.

TerminalPortugal
We led 2-0 in China, so it feels like a loss to come away from the game having drawn 2-2, however I would have taken that result pre-game, so it should be in our hands now.
TerminalPortugal
The month started with a sour note, but we managed to then string a great month together. Much happier with the boys after months like this, just a shame we were so poor a few months ago. The league looks very different now as we are in third, and still need to look over our backs, but Kashima have lost form and now it is 6 point gap to the leadership of the division. It's unlikely but we could swoop in there. But it is crucial we maintain form.
