jeb_fm
Hey guys! I just wanted to know your opinion. Im the manager of Lex XI in Wales (semipro) and im a little bit concern about the week training in our team. We usually play on saturdays and train on tuesdays and thurdays, and want i tend to do is train one week offensive training, then the other week defensive, etc. Bear in mind that we can use 2 out of 3 slots of the training of the day, and i try to train the most FK and CK (it works). Would you give your opinion? Should i train like this or should i train considering the rival in the upcoming match?

phnompenhandy
My view is that with a part-time team your players are on short-term contracts and if they're any good they'll leave soon enough. So I don't train with the future in mind, but to get through the upcoming match. I try to incorporate as many of the next-match preps as possible, esp next match practice, tactics, teamwork and the attacking or defending routine depending on the next opposition.
