djpdavey
My Under 18's Assistant Manager has got greedy and I now cannot afford him. His stats where great however I am now struggling to search for staff to fill the role. No First Team assistant want to drop down to the U18's and the staff search dont let me search for an "Under 18's Assistant Manager". Is the only option to put out an advert? Carninho
its the hardest role to fill. I tend to poach other people in the same role, or just pick the recommended coaches that come up in the news feed
DoubleDenimSuccess
Managing in the Bundesliga there are hundreds of good young German coaches, coaching at U19 level who have the ability to step up to U19 Assistant Manager role. Scouting U19 staff, especially coaches is a good way of promoting to the Assistant Manager role.
plcarlos
Define what you want from the assistant manager, their key attributes, and in the options, you can remove suitable\interested in U23\first team, leaving only U18 coaches. I rarley search for specific roles, I go on thier stats, then personality\preferences... U18's For me, I search by WWY\MM, DDM + 2 coaching (Ideally Tactical + Tactical Knowledge), Finally JCA\JPA. I factor in that youth coaches are not as good mainly, so I'll set WWY higher, and set the rest at 14-13, and filter down. I tend to have more luck poaching a youth coach into this role - Most coaches are looking for a step up, not down
Snorks
In the Staff Search there is an option to show 'Suitable for Youth'. I use this to filter down the people in the game. Otherwise it's a job advert - although rarely do you get good quality applicants.
s0ni42
I let my Head of Youth Development manage my U18 and leave the head coach post open. I found it easier to find good coaches for that role.
phnompenhandy
You can just search for U18 coaches and offer them the assman role until one accepts.
