Create your own player role

Much like the tactics now, you have set tactics, or you can create your own. 

Player roles were a great addition and i look forward to them being increased every year, but it restricts you.

Certain roles are the kind of role you want you player to to play, but some attributes don’t match.

eg 

there are different styles of poachers in real life, some are fast and small, some are slower and taller.  The faster ones may move across the backline (into channels) to find space, where as the less mobile one may stay central and maybe get slightly more involved in build up play, but make sure they’re in the box at all times.

 

it would be great if we could set the position of our role  on and off the ball. This is important for 

- centre backs you want to get forward.

- centre backs you want to use as full backs

- centre midfielders you want to use wide men when in possession 

and many more.

this should also allow you to select any type of option with it, such as moves into channels, dribbles more, risky passes etc. (Obviously not being able to choose dribbles more and less)

Currently the restrictions mean some players you want to do a certain role, you can’t because it’s inbetween two current roles and neither are fully how you want them. It will lead to more invention in people’s own tactics and roles.

 

the game should be able to judge the essential attributes for that role when rating, based on what the role is required to do.
