I believe he did not. I asked him to talk to clubs, but he said he is happy to sit out. He is of course on long contract as well.

It can be frustrating. You'd expect even some of the bigger clubs (so more possible interest from the player) to take a chance on a player who will basically be free for 2 or 3 seasons, even if it's just as a Rotation option. Even after that, his wage isn't astronomical (relatively speaking, of course ) so that shouldn't be a put off either.

In some cases (and it seems like it in this case) the fact that you're offering to pay the entire wage for more than a season isn't enough of a carrot to get clubs to realise it's a fantastic deal.
