I dont understand why people say the team shape is removed in19

As the title, I dont See any change In team shape setting. You can still set 442, 4231 or 4231 with DM, things like that. So what is the difference? Did I misunderstand anything?

Yes, you have misunderstood.

Team Shape in FM18 and before was never about formation such as 442, 4231 as you mention.  Team Shape was about influencing the mentality of players, choosing from Highly Structured to Very Fluid accordingly.

You can no longer do this via this method, hence Team Shape has been removed.

So when you say

Ah, thanks. Here we call it fluidity system. Actually individial mentality bar also disappear. But now we can use defensive line and engage line to adjust the position of different players in defending. Maybe that is more or less similar to the old team shape setting.
