Great read!  Loving the cup runs!  That new stadium is horrible though, especially at that capacity!

Cheers!

Gutted about the stadium, I mean, even at 10k, I'd say fair enough, but I guess we don't have the fanbase for it yet.

Awesome read!

What are your scouting assignments? I assume you only search for Welsh players...

Pretty much,

Nation: England, Duration: Ongoing, Additional Conditions - Nationality = Partially Welsh.

&

Nation: Wales, Duration: Ongoing, Additional Conditions - Nationality = Partially Welsh.

I'll add Scotland etc as our scouting range increases.

Too easy.

Llanelian Road is a very old stadium, so that's probably why the board are building a new one.

Good point!

Just caught up on all of this. Fantastic rise so far! Board has made a ludicrous decision with that stadium :idiot:

Also two golden generations in a row I’ve still never had one :(

great work as usual champions league winner in 5 seasons

Cheers!

I guess the golden generation thing is most due to the low level of the first team players.

Been a very long summer, once I'd gone through the entire player list deciding who to offer professional terms to, and who to replace, finding replacements and doing the same with the staff(which is an ongoing project). Not to mention in the middle of it all deciding I wanted to try some new tactics, as I use 4-3-3's far too much. The board expect us to finish in the playoffs, and media prediction is top. I can't say it's unfair either, we've a fine squad for this level. The one relatively serious bit of money spent was buying Gibson outright, after 38 league goals, how could I not?

Lot of business, both in and out.

They're some of the key deals. Neco Williams is considered the star man now.

This is the new system we're working with, will probably need tweaking over the next few seasons, but I like it as is so far.

Ohhh Mitch Clark.  I had him on loan for my Rotherham team.  He did alright in the Championship.  Hope he does well for you!

Hopin' Neco Williams racks some up assists!  Had to check him out on my save(beta db).  Mine has 11 tackling but only 7 flair and 9 technique and is "right" not "right only", odd.  I'm hoping he does well for you, very different kind of player then I play in my teams, it's cool.

Will be interesting to see how the change of formation works, especially with the use of a Libero

Indeed! So far it's a bit more fragile, and less free flowing but wonderful when it works.

Williams must have a lot of randomized attributes then, no assists yet, but he did score on his debut.

Very hap[pAugust was a brutally long month. We were up to the task for the most part, in spite of the misfortune of having our star keeper miss most of the month with a lower back stress fracture. He'll miss most of September too.
Very happy with the tactical switch so far, a lot of fun when it's in full flow, despite not having quite the players I'd ideally want.

Fantastic read, follow added.

What a rise! I kind of do the same with all my saves and have only players from whatever country I'm in be my squad in the hopes of one day finally being able to say I won the champs league with home grown players.

Another month down, much slower lately, with me watching the matches in extended as I work the tactic, and real life getting in the way.
Still, form is good, and our defence is sturdier with Rees back in between the sticks. At least it feels sturdier, might be my imagination.
Board injected 400k into the coffers, so we're only 700k in debt now.

Coventry providing super stiff competition. We play them at the end of November, and in mid April(as 3rd last game overall, away), they could be massive games.

Another month, much of a muchness, as when Coventry dropped points we mostly failed to capitalize. Not too happy seeing Newport dead last, want all the Welsh clubs to stay strong, Wrexham have been solid in League One, and Cardiff have become a decent PL side. Swansea are letting us down, being a below par Championship side so far. Merthyr have done pretty much nothing yet.

Another month down, and still no separation from Coventry. Doing well in the FA Cup, and given what is probably the greatest reward possible especially considering we're almost a million in debt.
A trip to Old Trafford.
In this timeline they've quickly recovered to become one of the leading forces in word football, appearing in the CL final last season(and winning it the year before) and the last two Premierships, along with a few FA Cups.

Should help massively with our financial issues.

Another month down, 3 wins, 3 draws, every chance to gain separation from Coventry sundered. At least we're miles ahead of the playoffs.
Brought in one new guy on loan, and had one big sale.

Brought in this lad on loan from Cardiff, to add depth to the wings.

Ellis here, who was brought in on a chance, quickly became quite important as he learned to play LW, still, Swansea gave us 1m in a lump sum, 50% of profit and a loan back. That puts us on solid ground again, for a while at least.

This popped up after the sale, a message I've never seen before. Sadly none of the answers were adequate for the situation, would have liked to reply "We couldn't say no to that sum of money."

With such a solid beard at the tender age of 16 I'd say he's more than ready for the senior team.

Luckily he was eligible, so instantly becomes starting striker.

What?!?! What?!?!?

That's not a real regen, that doesn't happen in game?!?!

What?!?!?

WHAT?!?!?

They're really rare, but it does happen, last time I got a kid that looked near this good this young though, he'd already near peaked, so praying this guy isn't the same!

Finally got around to finishing the season, and all is good, barring the finances. They're already back in the red.

Brutally harsh on Wimbledon, 3rd all season long, only to drop points in the last two games and miss out on automatic promotion. Still, they're in the playoff final.

Rees is becoming a real decent player. 150 games for us already.
