Gizzy
The Scottish FA have had enough. Enough of everyone saying their league is rubbish and enough of everyone laughing at their national team. It's taken a while but they have thrown lots of money at the problem, where have they found that?, and have improved all Scottish professional clubs youth facilities to world class standings. In the hope that they will soon start to produce world class players. The man they've put in charge of the overhaul? Well, it's no other than me, Gizzy Lets have a look where things stand as of now.... July 2018... Currently 39th in the world, our first aim has to be to improve that by winning some matches. And here's what we've got coming up in the rest of 2018 The newly born tournament The Nations League could be the launching pad for Scottish Greatness! Promotion is what is excepted of me. And here is what we are working with. Mt Assman says these are the 4 best players at my disposal and here are some for the future On a personal note, I haven't really tried Int management in FM so hopefully I can give it a good go. I've edited the youth facilities of all the professional clubs in the country and Ill record evidence of any gems coming through and do my best to nurture them. Who knows, it might lead to world class players and Scotland actually winning something.
Gizzy
First bit of good news.... I've persuaded a player on the fence he should represent us. Lets face it, we need all the help we can get
Gizzy
Two offers for friendlies have been accepted to flesh out our fixture list a little. Good opportunity to try out some new players.
Gizzy
First squad announced. Not a great selection, but I do want to phase out the older players and also pick players on form, who are actually playing for the their club. But it's not as easy as that. 33 year old Bardsley is the first casualty of the new younger policy.
Gizzy
Albania up first before our friendly against Ecuador. We absolutely battered them. But thought our dominance was going to be in vain as we just weren't putting our chances away. Top of the league Had to go a little more defensive after the red card, but there will be no suspension after the card was rescinded afterwards. Gizzy
WHAT!?!? Couldn't believe what I was seeing. 3 red cards Glad it was just a friendly
Gizzy
Dropped 1 place to 40th in the WRs. Not ideal but early days
SixPointer
Had a Scotland one on the beta! Lots of great talent coming threw.
Gizzy
We put the disappointment of the 5-1 hammering behind us by winning our competitive matches, thats really all that counts anyway! We played well but it took a 90th minute winner to clinch it. A nice cushion and we should get promotion!
Deisler26
No Super Kev McDonald? 😱😱
Gizzy
11 changes for the friendly, good performance but it should have been more goals. But happy with the win.

Gizzy
Albania away up next. A draw wins us the league and we'd be promoted to league 2. We were in control the whole game and never looked like giving a goal away but never really looked like scoring either. Not getting the goals our play deserves is becoming a theme. But we got the pint we needed. We are promoted with relative ease. Haven't let a goal in which is nice. One more game to go this year, lets hope for a nice win. Gizzy
Absolute terrible result. We were cruising. Relaxed, and playing well. Then we missed a pen and fell apart. We've got to learn from these types of games and make sure we see them out or blitz them when we're on top. But all's well that ends well. Into league 2 and the play offs. Hopefully we can qualify for the Euros.

Gizzy
The draw for Euro 2020 has given us a difficult group. And the return of the Auld Enemy Still not had the draw for NL play offs. That seems to be the best way for us to qualify for the Euros. If I've got that right
Gizzy
So our first (half) year is over. Overall it was positive. Good to get promoted in the Nations League, but now we look forward to a difficult Euro qualifying campaign. Here is the team of the year
Gizzy
And now the long wait until March for our next match. 10 matches this year and I've also added in a summer friendly with Japan coming to Hampden.
Gizzy
We start the Euros Quals with a home game against 2nd favourites for the group Ukraine. Mixed feelings going into the game. The are ranked higher than us, but we're at home so want the win! And the win is what we got Dominated the first half but went in at half time behind. Two quick goals early in the second half give us the 3 points. England away up next, who will be riding high after an 8-0 win A point will be a good result I feel, and keep us in contention to qualify.
Gizzy
I think we should have gone a bit more defensive against England England were just too good unfortunately. Hopefully they go on and smash everyone else they come up against and allow us to finish 2nd. Ukraine lost at home to Israel which is a massive blow to their chances of qualifying, but its good for us. We have 3 matches now with a great chance of picking us 9 points. Its a must really. Gizzy
We really deserved more than this, but in football you sometimes don't get what you deserve Late goals in each half mean its a point each. We missed some amount of chances. Still early in the group and everything still to play for.
Gizzy
Kazakhstan were up next and an opportunity to put our poor form behind us. If we don't win this one we may as well all go home. Luckily we found our scoring boots. Ritchie getting a hattrick As expected England are romping the league. Which is actually a good thing for us. The more points they take off other teams the better. Gizzy
Had a weeks break until our friendly against Japan. And was able to name a new squad for it which was nice. Allowed me to give some new players a chance. Made lots of changes to the starting 11. But it didn't really go to plan.

Gizzy
Sept Int break gives us two away games. First up was bottom of the table Lichtenstein. It took us going behind to actually get going, but when we did we gave them no chance. Defender hattrick too. England drew away at Ukraine, which isn't ideal, but means we are only 3 points off first place. Second is still the goal though.
Gizzy
One step forward and 2 back. Just as it looked like we might build up some form we stutter. Was really close up until the red card and then it was just too difficult. 4 games left. Israel away is massive!
Gizzy
If only the higher the number the better We drop 4 more places
Gizzy
Holy ****!! What a result! we were excellent! After the red card I thought we were toast but we dug deep and England had an off day in front of goal and we made them pay. Really tight. Ukraine and Israel still have to play England where as I've got the bottom 2 teams to play so should be 6 points right there. England will still win the group most likely but I reckon we're favourites for 2nd.
Gizzy
After the high of the England game, Liechtenstein were next up at Hampden. 2 days between the games meant some changes were needed. TWELVE NIL!! Great performance. And keeps us in contention at the top of the table.

Gizzy
Last two games of the group are Israel away and Kazakhstan at home. 4 points should be enough to get 2nd. Decided to go attacking against Israel, knowing full well it could back fire. But no, it was close in the end, as a lot of our shot were off target and once again we let the other team off by not being more ruthless in front of goal. Good win though which means we only need a point in the next game to make it to Euro 2020. England have qualified already but it looks like it might only be by 3 points which is a little surprising after the way they started.

Gizzy
Seventh Heaven for the laddies from Scotchland!! Routine win in the end. Really pleased with the way qualifiers have went.
