DazRTaylor
I haven't had a good journeyman save in a few years, so will attempt one again. Game Type - Journeyman, with an unemployed start. Reputation - Sunday League. Starting Qualifications - None. Editor's Used - Real Names & Teams Fix. Huge database. Player Faces Megapack. Metallic Logos Megapack. Trophies Megapack. ITCH (International Team Competition Histories). Leagues Loaded (All leagues have been loaded for these nations) Argentina. Brazil. Belgium. China. England. France. Germany. Holland. Italy. Mexico. DazRTaylor
Brackley Town Club - Brackley Town. Nation - England. League - Vanarama National League North (sixth tier). Stadium - St. James Park, Brackley. Capacity - 3,500 (507 seated). Training Facilities - Poor. Youth Facilities - Poor. Data Analysis Facilities - None. Corporate Facilities - Basic. Junior Coaching - Fairly basic. Youth Recruitment - Basic. Youth Level - 0. Media Prediction - 5th. My expectation - 14th. We need a safe mid table spot. Transfer Budget - £0. Wage Budget - £5,102 per week. Current Wage Bill - £5,116 per week. So I have to ship players out before I can bring anyone in. League The club is under performing and should be doing a lot better. With no wins in eight, we need to turn the form around and fast. Squad We do have some good players, so we should definitely be doing better than we are. F.A. Cup The made it through to the fourth qualifying round, before losing away to Leamington. Squad Dynamics Considering the form of the team and the league position, this is surprisingly good. Finances The club has slipped into the red. DazRTaylor
Mid Season Review Season 2018/19 Brackley Town Vanarama National League North A poor first half of the season. Since I arrived, we have only won two of our league games, so I need to improve somewhat. We have moved three points clear of the drop zone, however. F.A. Cup We were already out when I arrived, losing at Leamington in the fourth qualifying round. F.A. Trophy We are still in the competition and have been drawn away to Sittingbourne the round two. Squad Dynamics - The squad cohesion has improved in my short time at the club. Transfers In - I have signed one new player, a teenage striker on loan, otherwise all the other arrivals were before my time. Transfers Out - No one has left the club this season. Finances - The decent run in the F.A. Trophy has put the club back into the black.

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2018/19 Brackley Town League - A good recovery to finish safely in mid table. The 7-2 home defeat to Telford hurt a lot, though. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - A good recovery towards the end of the season. F.A. Cup - The club made it through to the fourth qualifying round, before losing away to Leamington. This all took place before I arrived at the club F.A. Trophy - A run to the third round was abruptly ended at home by Dulwich Hamlet, who hammered us 5-2. This was four days after we lost 7-2 at home in the league to Telford. Pre Season Friendlies - A small number of friendlies were played long before I arrived. Youth Candidates - A reasonable intake for this level, with Leavi Bird YP19A1 the pick of the bunch. Squad - Some good players here, but still too many who are just not good enough. Squad Dynamics - The squad had quite a few bad eggs at the club, so with them in the reserves, this has improved somewhat. Transfers In - I managed to bring four loans in, plus one permanent signing. The rest were before my time. Transfers Out - Just the one departure, crying, whinging Lee Ndlovu was moved on. Finances - We fluctuate between the red and the black. Next Season A playoff push maybe? Key Players Pierce Bird - Centre half signed on loan from Notts County who proved vital to our recovery. Joe Lynch - The Crewe youngster was an ever present in midfielder once I signed him on loan. Harry Benns - Striker whose poor return of 7 goals in his 20 games is misleading as he played better than that. On loan from Port Vale. Billy O'Brien - Young Welsh goalkeeper signed on a free transfer who is the undisputed number one at the club. Gareth Dean - Central defender who was already here when I arrived. His experience has proved essential. DazRTaylor
Mid Season Review Season 2019/20 Brackley Town Vanarama National League North A good first half of the season and we sit in second place, behind York City. The pair of us have broken away from the rest and it looks like it is a two horse race for the title and automatic promotion. F.A. Cup A dreadful campaign saw the club eliminated in the fourth qualifying round, at home by Havant & Waterlooville. F.A. Trophy This was appalling. We went out at the first attempt, in the third qualifying round, losing away to Chelmsford City. Squad Dynamics - Everyone seems to get on with everyone else. Having a young squad that is playing well certainly helps. Transfers In - Free transfers and loans make up the arrivals. All are young and hungry. Although it doesn't mention it in the screenshot, we renewed four of the loans from last season. Transfers Out - I let two of last seasons first team players leave on free transfers as I needed to the the wage bill. Finances - It looks healthy and this is due to the pre season friendlies against much bigger clubs.

DazRTaylor
Club Review Season 2019/20 Brackley Town League - I leave the club in second place, pushing hard for the title, neck and neck with York City. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We have only lost three league games and peaked with a twelve match winning run. F.A. Cup - Havant & Waterlooville proved to be too strong in the fourth qualifying round. F.A. Trophy - Very poor, eliminated by Chelmsford City in the third qualifying round. Pre Season Friendlies - Considering the calibre of opponents, I am happy with the performances and results overall. Squad - The squad is strong for this level and should be able to finish in the top half of the league above. Squad Dynamics - Very healthy indeed. Transfers In - I didn't feel the need to sign anyone else during January. Transfers Out - There hasn't been any more departures. Finances - Still in the black, though continuing to fall. League The club sit in ninth place, just a point outside the playoff places. Squad Some good talent here, though the defence needs strengthening. F.A. Cup They made it though to the second round, before losing a tight game away to League One side Burton Albion. F.A. Trophy The club are still in the competition and are away to Dover Athletic in the fourth round, which is my first game in charge. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2019/20 Ebbsfleet United League - A goal in the 93rd minute in our final league game propelled the club into the last playoff place. Playoffs - Finishing seventh would mean promotion would require the hard route. We demolished Barnet at Underhill in the first game before heartache at Morecambe losing on penalties. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Some very annoying defeats here, including under my management. Five wins at the end of the season secured our playoff spot. F.A. Cup - Already eliminated before my arrival, League One side Burton Albion proved too strong. F.A Trophy - My first game was elimination from this competition, losing away to Dover Athletic in the fourth round. Pre Season Friendlies - Only five games were played, with three defeats. Youth Candidates - I have no idea on the quality of the intake this year as I wasn't here. Squad - The squad is more than good enough to challenge for promotion next season. Squad Dynamics - The players are gelling together very well. Transfers In 1 & 2 - Despite only arriving at the club in late February, I could still bring in eight fresh faces. All the other arrivals were done by my predecessor. Transfers Out - The last two departures were sanctioned by me, otherwise were before my time. Finances - It is safe to say we are in the red. Next Season Promotion. Anything else would be a failure. Key Players James Wilson - I signed the former Manchester United striker on a free transfer and is head and shoulders above everyone else at the club. Teddy Bishop - Another free transfer acquisition, the central midfielder had a good few months since his arrival. Allan Tchaptchet - Teenage French central defender I signed on loan from Southampton. Mature beyond his years. Raúl Uche - Spanish forward who also signed on a free transfer. His performances were somewhat erratic. Tom Clayton - On loan central defender, also from Southampton, he had a poor season and should play a lot better. Minuy600
I'd reccomend staying in this save. If you're having fun it's worth it anyway. The VAR really does not affect gameplay all that much from what i've heard.

DazRTaylor
Mid Season Review Season 2020/21 Ebbsfleet United Vanarama National League A superb first half of the season and we are top, with a lead of twelve points over second placed Wrexham. The fact we have only lost one game is particularly pleasing. F.A. Cup We have made it to the third round, where we have a winnable game at home to League Two Carlisle United. F.A. Trophy One game and a ten nil win. I don't think it could of gone any better. We have been drawn away to Canvey Island from the league below in the second round. Squad Dynamics - The new players have settled in nicely and there is good cohesion between everyone. Winning a lot helps though. Transfers In - All acquisitions were either free transfers or loans. The emphasis was on youth and building for the future. Transfers Out - Quite a lot of my youth team players got big moves on free transfers after I deemed them surplus to requirements. I hope I haven't made a mistake! Finances - In the red. By a lot. But our owner clears the debt at the end of every season, so I am not worried. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2020/21 Ebbsfleet United League - Sensational. We dominated from start to finish, setting a new league scoring record, points total record and dropped only four points at home all season. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Just three defeats all season as we left the rest standing. F.A. Cup - A tremendous cup run, all the way to the fifth round, before losing an entertaining game away to Premier League Newcastle United, by a 4-3 scoreline. F.A. Trophy - A club record 10-0 win over Three Bridges was the highlight on route to securing the trophy. Pre Season Friendlies - Plenty of goals, plenty of wins and just the two losses. Youth Candidates - A dreadful intake this year, with no one standing out and no one being tagged. Graham Cooke looks the best prospect, but he won't be offered terms. Squad - This squad is more than good enough to go up again. With all essential contracts renewed, no one will be leaving unless big money is offered. Squad Dynamics - Everyone seems to love everyone else. Transfers In - Free transfers and loans make up the acquisitions. The quality of the loans were especially pleasing. Transfers Out - Two big sales in January, with sell on clauses, boosted the club coffers. Finances - In the black, thanks to the two sales mentioned above. Next Season Another promotion. We have walked this league with such ease, that surely another promotion is on the cards. Key Players James Wilson - One of four potent strikers I rotated all season. He scored 37 goals in 50 games, as well as 23 assists. Josh Maja - Striker number two, whose return was 31 goals & 23 assists in 50 games. On loan from Sunderland. Thierry Ambrose - The third striker, his goal record was 29 goals in 35 games. Enock Asante - The final striker I used in rotation, he scored 34 goals in his 46 games. Myles Kenlock - Left wing back who terrorised down the left flank. The fact he created 20 assists shows how much quality he has for this level. DazRTaylor
Mid Season Review Season 2021/22 Ebbsfleet United Sky Bet League Two A brilliant first half of the season and we are top, a huge twenty points clear and a second promotion is already within our grasp. An opening day 6-0 away win has set the tone for what was to follow. We also have a perfect home record. F.A. Cup A complete disaster. We lost in the first round, beaten by non league Fylde. Carabao Cup An excellent cup run and we are through to the semi final, where we will play Watford over two legs, the first game away from home. I have deliberately played my strongest possible team every game, unlike a lot of my opponents. Checkatrade Trophy We are through to the third round and will play Oxford United at home. We won our group, despite playing our reserves throughout. Squad Dynamics - Good cohesion and a good atmosphere. Transfers In - The usual mix of free transfers and loans, though I did spend money on two players. Transfers Out - Most of the departures have been loans, though three players were sold for transfer fees, including the club record sale of Thierry Ambrose to Lincoln City, for over £1m. Finances - We still have a healthy balance, though it is dwindling as we continue to lose money.

DazRTaylor
I am a bit perplexed. I should be ecstatic, but I have just won the Carabao Cup. With a League Two club. Against Manchester United. I actually feel let down as this is so unrealistic. Granted, they didn't play their entire first team, but some superstars did play. I really shouldn't be winning this game.
DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Day Season 2021/22 Ebbsfleet United A reasonable intake this year where several will be offered contracts. As usual, the best three prospects are shown below.
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2021/22 Ebbsfleet United League - Just like last season, we dominated from start to finish. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We won a club record 39 games this season as no one could live with us. F.A. Cup - A desperately disappointing performance in the first round saw the club crash out to non league Fylde. Carabao Cup - We won the competition. I have already stated my feelings on this elsewhere. Checkatrade Trophy - A disappointing home defeat to Oxford United saw the club eliminated in the third round. We won our group to qualify for the knockout rounds. Pre Season Friendlies - A good pre season, with just the two defeats. A six all draw with Aston Villa was one of the more entertaining games. Youth Candidates - A reasonable intake this year with Sonny Baxter YP22A13 the standout player. Squad - The squad is more than good enough to challenge for promotion again. Squad Dynamics - Everyone gets on just fine. Transfers In - Three players were brought in for transfer fees, otherwise it was the usual mix of free transfers and loans. Transfers Out - The transfer record for a player sale was broken twice this season. Finances - Very healthy, primarily due to player sales. Next Season I am looking to move on. Winning the Carabao Cup has soured it a little bit as it is unrealistic. So a move to another club is on the cards. Key Players James Wilson - Another exceptional striker from the striker, despite the quality of the squad having caught him up. He scored 35 goals in his 55 appearances this season. Lukas Feiler - He was one of my first signings for the club when he was just 16 years old and he has matured rapidly, becoming the best defender at the club. Dani Villanueva - Another free transfer acquisition, this Spanish teenage midfielder has proved to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Ricky Webb - The teenage striker, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, returned 29 goals in 46 games, as he made the most of his temporary stay at Ebbsfleet. Jamie Shackleton - On loan from Leeds United, the midfielder had an excellent season. DazRTaylor
This is bizarre. I am waiting for a suitable job in the Championship to apply for and Aston Villa are listed as "Precarious" and Crystal Palace as "Very Insecure"...but it is 2022 and the World Cup is in the winter. So they have no games for six weeks.
DazRTaylor
Mid Season Review Season 2022/23 Ebbsfleet United Europa League We were given a tough group, yet we qualified for the first knockout round after provisionally finishing second. We still have one group game to play, delayed due to the winter World Cup in Qatar, so the draw for the next round has not been made yet. Sky Bet League One A good first half of the season, though we have been playing catch up for most of it, due to the number of games in hand we have had. At one stage, we had played seven games less than most of the others. We lead by only two points, though we do have two games in hand. F.A. Cup We are through to the fourth round where we will play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after a nervous penalty shootout win over Fleetwood Town in round three. Carabao Cup Alas, there was no repeat of last year as we went out at the first time of asking, in the third round, away to Arsenal. Checkatrade Trophy We made it through to the knockout stages by winning our group. We then beat Swindon Town on penalties to set up a third round tie at home to West Ham's Under 23's. Squad Dynamics - I am not sure if I can fault this, to be honest. Transfers In - Three players were brought in for a transfer fee, including breaking the club record, though the majority were loans and free transfers. Due to the sheer volume of games I will play this season, I brought in seven loans, despite only being able to play five at a time. Transfers Out - Eleven players left for fees as I cleared out a lot of back up players. Quite a few youngsters have also gone out on loan. Finances - Very healthy indeed. A good run in Europe has contributed significantly to the balance.
DazRTaylor
Club Review Season 2021/22 Ebbsfleet United Europa League - After three qualifying rounds and then finishing second in their group, they have been drawn against Belgian side Standard Liege in the first knockout round, with the first leg in Belgium. League - The club is a point clear at the top, though they do have four games in hand. League Fixtures - Fixture congestion has resulted in the club playing catch up and always having games in hand. F.A. Cup - A decent cup run, albeit thanks to a penalty shootout victory, has set up a fourth round encounter away to Crystal Palace from the Championship. Carabao Cup - Entering at the third round stage, the club promptly exited after losing away to Arsenal. Checkatrade Trophy - After winning their group, the club them knocked Swindon Town out on penalties, setting up a third round tie at home to West Ham's Under 23's. Pre Season Friendlies - Thanks to the winter World Cup in Qatar, the season started early, so only six games were played. Pleasing to see the club remained unbeaten though. Squad - With the right additions, I feel they are good enough to challenge for a playoff place next season. Assuming they go up this year, of course. Squad Dynamics - Everyone likes everyone else. Transfers In - Three players cost money, otherwise the usual mix of free transfers and loan signings. Transfers Out - I cleared out a lot of backup players, as eleven left for fees. Quite a few loans departed too. Finances - The Europa League run has swelled the coffers somewhat. DazRTaylor
Aston Villa Club - Aston Villa. Nation - England. League - Championship (second tier). Stadium - Villa Park, Birmingham. Capacity - 42,777 (all seater). Training Facilities - Superb. Youth Facilities - Superb. Data Analysis Facilities - Good. Corporate Facilities - Average. Junior Coaching - Adequate. Youth Recruitment - Established. Youth Level - 1. Media Prediction - 4th. My expectation - 8th. A top half finish would be great. Transfer Budget - £23,094,613. A very large transfer budget. Wage Budget - £640,028 per week. A virtual tenfold increase from Ebbsfleet. Current Wage Bill - £592,642 per week. So I have plenty of scope to bring players in. League The club *should* be safe from relegation, though they are clearly under performing. F.A. Cup A narrow home win over non league Harrogate Town has seen the club through to the fourth round, where they will play fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic at home. Carabao Cup A penalty shootout loss at Premier League Swansea City saw the club go out at the third round stage. Squad With the quality on display here, it is hard to fathom why they are playing so poorly. Squad Dynamics This is surprisingly good considering the poor season the club is having. I look forward to your next career Out of interest are multiple active career updates frowned upon? I've very much enjoyed reading this thread anyway. I'm sort of disappointed that the Villa job didn't come up at the end of the season so we could see how far Daz could take Ebbsfleet in Europe. Not really, no. He was having a dig at me because in FM18 I couldn’t get into a save and ended up starting a lot of threads on here. He failed to mention I hid all of them bar one so no one could see them and they didn’t clutter up the forum. He also failed to mention that a few others have more careers than I do. Finally, he failed to mention that this is only my second career on here for FM19, the other was seven seasons long. This one is already in season five. Both far longer than most on this forum. It is time to address this. I have posted this elsewhere on the SI forum, but not on the career forum. I post a fair bit for a reason. I have a very serious and incurable illness that will more than likely result in my death within a few years. The only long term treatment is a heart transplant. The chances of me receiving one are very slim. I am married and have two children, aged 12 & 8. Why am I telling you all this? Because as a result of the above, I have had some mental health issues and I was advised to take up a hobby to help me mentally. FM is one such hobby. I have been encouraged to write about it. Hence this forum. I am not looking for pity or sympathy as you deal with the hand you are dealt. I am well aware hardly anyone reads my stuff but I don’t care. I know no one will read this post but again, I don’t care. I do this because it helps me and therefore helps my family. @decapitatedI appreciate your kind words. I doubt if I would of got past Standard as they have quite a few internationals. But I am intrigued as to how my successor gets on. They have hired a big name, Rudi Garcia. Minuy600
Geez. I did not know before you had those very bad health issues. I feel bad for questioning your idea to start new careers quite quickly during the FM2018 era. Hope the outcome will be good for you. Your careers, even though I too don't pay too much attention to them, look like good reads still. The fact you have allll those statistics written down is quite unique as well! Keep it up, and again, all the best for your health.
