Kings Langley - Vanarama National League South - 2022/23

Every season we have been up there with the leaders but haves fallen away when it really matters. Could we make it back into the playoffs this season?

League Table - it was the same old story as we challenged the leaders but then struggled when the fixtures piled up.

Playoff 1st round - we took the lead and hung on for the win.

Playoff semi final - the scoreline flattered us as we made the most of our chances.

Playoff final - we left it late, but we got the job done.

FA Trophy - we lost out to the league winners.

FA Cup - once again we came up short against the team from the higher league.

Squad - I'm not sure this squad is good enough for promotion, so I might need some new signings.

Transfers - these signings were huge.

Finances - we made a big loss, hopefully we get a big cup game next season.

Key Player Profiles:

Troy Chiabi - the new signing was our top scorer.

Ryan Clampin - I need good wingers like this.

Samuel Sawyer - he was a great signing, but he might leave soon.

Jordan Gabriel - the new right back.

Joseph Olowu - this new signing was made our new captain.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2019/20 National League South 4th Playoff semi finalists
2020/21 National League South 8th
2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
Next Season:

I'm really not sure if we are ready for promotion, so next season is a huge unknown.

Kings Langley - Vanarama National League - 2023/24

It took four seasons to win an unexpected promotion, so this squad would need improving to stay in the VNL.

League Table - I'm delighted with a top half finish, but we were in with a chance of making the playoffs with two games to go.

FA Trophy - I rotated the squad as usual.

FA Cup - this felt like a huge game to me as a Pompey fan, but the attendance was disappointing.

Squad - the squad is slowly being improved, but we have too many weak positions.

Transfers - the new signings were a real mixture, with some I'm ready to release.

Finances - pre season friendlies gave us enough money to last the season.

Key Player Profiles:

Lewis Reed - top scorer from the supporting role after Troy Chiabi was released.

Samuel Sawyer - I was so glad to re-sign this midfielder.

Robert Strachan - this new signing upset my captain.

Kai Brown - the highly rated new signing has yet to make an impact.

Jonny Smith - decent wingers are so important to the way we play.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2019/20 National League South 4th Playoff semi finalists

2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
2023/24 National League 11th
Next Season:

I'd be happy with another top half finish, but with a few decent signings I feel like we could make the playoffs.

As in: At the time he reach his potential, your club be at a much higher level or why would he not be good enough? :)

It's because our training facilities are terrible, players just don't seem to progress very well.

At the moment, he's the worst striker at the club. The chances are he won't get much better than that.

Okay - I usually sign them if they have a potential like that and start using them, that seems to further their development although not having the best facilities.

Haven't had any youth intakes this year, yet. Only 10 games in with Stafford.

Youth Intake 2025

There's a striker with potential, but he won't be good enough for the first team.

I'd probably put a striker like that in my squad almost immediately. First team football & mentoring seems to do so much more for development this year.

Kings Langley - Vanarama National League - 2024/25

Last season we finished in the top half, so I was hopeful that we could make the playoffs this season.

League Table - we actually topped the league for a lot of the season but fell apart when it really mattered, missing out on the playoffs on the final day.

FA Trophy - this didn't last long.

FA Cup - we were five minutes away from the holy grail of an away tie at a Premier League side.

Squad - the squad is far too big so I'll be looking to offload a few for next season.

Transfers - the usual mixture of brilliant and not so brilliant signings.

Finances - we are losing money badly.

Key Player Profiles:

Odysseas Spyrides - top scorer, but not an automatic first choice.

Kai Brown - finally settling into the supporting role.

Jack Sparkes - a great new signing.

Ryan Corrigan - another huge new signing.

Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah Elimby - the pick of the new boys.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements

2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
2023/24 National League 11th
2024/25 National League 8th
Next Season:

I guess we are aiming for the playoffs again.

Youth Intake 2026

John Swift could be the best player I've ever had through the youth team, he will go straight into the first team squad.

He's insanely good! The rare combination of having a good personality & strength in all the key attributes. Potential Premier League player?

Kings Langley - Vanarama National League - 2025/26

We did pretty well last season, so I was hopeful of making the playoffs at least.

League Table - we ran away with it in the end.

FA Trophy - we were a bit unlucky to lose out in this one.

FA Cup - we had an amazing cup run, ended only by a penalty shootout.

Squad - a lot of this squad should be good enough for next season, I just need a few new faces.

Transfers - one of my better transfer windows.

Finances - it looks good, but we are losing money at a rate.

Key Player Profiles:

Josh Andrews - top goalscorer after a quiet first season.

Kai Brown - did well in the supporting role, despite just one assist.

Jack Sparkes - such an important signing.

Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah Elimby - our most valuable player.

John Swift - he failed to impress, but he could still have a bright future at the club.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements

2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
2023/24 National League 11th
2024/25 National League 8th
2025/26 National League 1st Promoted as champions
Next Season:

With the club turning professional as we enter the Football League there will be a lot of work to do. Survival is all want for Christmas.

I had one of those in my save as well, I fail to see the point of it, and would be saturating if it would happen more than once or twice.

The point is that it's still vanishingly rare for a professional sportsperson to come out as LGBTQ. And those numbers simply don't tally with what we see in the general population.

That's - at best - an unhealthy state of affairs, so it's nice to see a company taking a somewhat-proactive approach to the issue. I'll take SI's optimistic version of reality rather than the real one which will undoubtedly see players developing mental illnesses and long-term problems with their personal lives as a result of societal/professional heteronormative pressures.

The bloke from the Crystal Maze has completed his takeover and taken out yet another loan to cover the debts.

Let's hope you stay in the Futuristic zone rather than the relegation zone! ;)

Kings Langley - Sky Bet League Two - 2026/27

We turned professional as we entered the Football League, so this was the start of a new era for the club.

League Table - we had a blip after ten games, but we regained our form and secured our second successive promotion.

Checkatrade Trophy - the squad players got us through the early rounds despite losing the first two games, the first team went on and made history for the club.

Carabao Cup - this cup run didn't go so well.

FA Cup - the win over Everton was probably the highlight of my career, and we didn't embarrass ourselves against Spurs.

Squad - we have great strength all round, so hopefully I can find a couple of players to make a difference.

Transfers - the three youngsters were exceptional signings.

Finances - despite the loans, we are still in debt.

Key Player Profiles:

Josh Andrews - top scorer, but he's not really good enough for league One.

Kai Brown - consistent in the supporting role.

Roger Brookes - the goalie has been superb.

Robbie Irving - this new signing really impressed.

Jamie Owen - another impressive signing.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2019/20 National League South 4th Playoff semi finalists
2020/21 National League South 8th
2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
2023/24 National League 11th
2024/25 National League 8th
2025/26 National League 1st Promoted as champions
2026/27 League Two 1st Promoted as champions, EFL Trophy winners
Next Season:

I've signed most of the squad up to long term deals, so I'm hoping they are good enough to move up a division.
