We had a perfect preseason, winning every game, and picking up another trophy too

and added three players, two of them first teamers, one a youngster signed by my DoF

What club you aiming for?

I don't think I'm giving much away in saying that the next country is Chile, so I'm thinking any of Colo-Colo, Universidad Chile or Universidad Catolica. Colo-Colo would be my first choice though

Good choices. Colo-Colo would definitely be preferred

From one of the most complicated leagues, to the most straightforward to explain. The Campeonato Nacional, Chile's top division, works exactly like the English league system. There are only 16 teams in it though, so it's a thirty game season. Here is the table on the day I take over

October was probably my best month in Chile so far, but there was still more frustration as we drew with Cobreloa, despite taking the lead twice, the second time with just 5 minutes left

and with one game to play, those dropped points have seen us fall to fifth, though a top four finish is still a possibility

February was a busy month, but I'm pleased with how it went. The defeat to Medellin didn't matter, and we were really good against both Colo-Colo and River Plate

Here is the early league table

and the Copa Libertadores table which shows how tough our group is. Definitely going to have to wait for Argentina or Brazil to win this one

The Palestino game needs a bit of explanation. Yes, we got two very early goals, but they were 3-0 down and reduced to 9 men inside 20 minutes, so I just kept attacking them. And we could have had more, as we missed one of the three penalties we were awarded

Time to look for a suitable club to join. Everyone will have worked out by now that it's Argentina next, and I'm not an expert on the country, but I know enough to know that I should be looking for either the Boca Juniors or River Plate jobs. Argentina's season runs from August to May, so I might have to wait until the end of their season to move on.

Boca & River Plate are the best two to aim for, but from what I understand, there's a couple of other decent ones too. San Lorenzo is one of them, I believe Velez is another but someone else may be able to give better info.

Thanks for the heads up, Neotropolis. I'll keep an eye out for openings at Velez, Boca and River Plate :)

March wasn't too bad, as I expected to be beaten in the Libertadores at Velez, and in the Deportes game, Kimuro was sent off inside 10 minutes

918004638_Mar2024.thumb.PNG.f3611ca3cffa62496d58735429e71989.PNG

and we ended the month top of the Campeonato Nacional

and still in our Libertadores group, with a double header against Cristal up next. These two games will decide the group

April was a frustrating month, as we blew a 3-0 lead against Coquimbo, scored first in the draw with Cristal, led 2-0 against Catolica, and led 3-1 after just 17 minutes before eventually losing to Cristal

1089357552_Apr2024.thumb.PNG.e3eea83050cf282751e0530cc3ed7c81.PNG

costing us top spot in the league

and probably, qualification from our Libertadores group too
