Northernpilgrim
The final proved rather easier than expected, despite playing against Junior and with that we are Champions

Northernpilgrim
We had a perfect preseason, winning every game, and picking up another trophy too and added three players, two of them first teamers, one a youngster signed by my DoF First the youngster, Niño, a striker De La Fuente is a right back and Elias is a central midfielder
Northernpilgrim
So, obviously, I wasn't able to get a job in the next country (I had an interview but didn't get the job), so I remain with Atletico Nacional for the First Phase of the Colombian Primera Division, and I'll re-evaluate the situation after that. Northernpilgrim
February was another perfect month, including dishing out a thrashing to a South American giant in the Libertadores which left us top of the league and the Libertadores table looking like this
Northernpilgrim
March wasn't bad either although, despite taking 30 points from a possible 33, that isn't enough to top the table but we are top of our Libertadores group
Northernpilgrim
April wasn't quite as good, but still ok and we've almost guaranteed finishing top of the table Qualified from our Libertadores group despite defeat to Corinthians

Northernpilgrim
July was very nearly perfect, and the draw came in a match where we had a player sent off which left us top of the Closing Stage table
Northernpilgrim
I was only in charge of two more Atletico Nacional games and this is the Closing Stage table as I embark on the next chapter of my South American Adventure. To Chile!
Northernpilgrim
Chapter Four - Chile This is the squad I'll inherit and there are rules around young players in Chile too. Here they are, along with how the club are doing in terms of complying with them
Northernpilgrim
From one of the most complicated leagues, to the most straightforward to explain. The Campeonato Nacional, Chile's top division, works exactly like the English league system. There are only 16 teams in it though, so it's a thirty game season. Here is the table on the day I take over
Northernpilgrim
August was technically an unbeaten month, but hugely frustrating. We led against Catolica, led twice against Colo-Colo, led 3-0 and 4-2 against Audax, and also scored first against O'Higgins and we're now 6th in the league
Northernpilgrim
There will be a few players signed from this year's youth intake. These are all being offered contracts
Northernpilgrim
We finally won a game!! September results: and the league table
Northernpilgrim
October was probably my best month in Chile so far, but there was still more frustration as we drew with Cobreloa, despite taking the lead twice, the second time with just 5 minutes left and with one game to play, those dropped points have seen us fall to fifth, though a top four finish is still a possibility
Northernpilgrim
We won our final game of the season and Catolica didn't, meaning we climbed back above them and finish in the top four
Northernpilgrim
We played three preseason friendlies, the first of which was heavily impacted by international call-ups and made four signings, as well as clearing out a load of dead wood which leaves the squad looking like this ahead of the new season
Northernpilgrim
February was a busy month, but I'm pleased with how it went. The defeat to Medellin didn't matter, and we were really good against both Colo-Colo and River Plate Here is the early league table and the Copa Libertadores table which shows how tough our group is. Definitely going to have to wait for Argentina or Brazil to win this one
Northernpilgrim
We won every match in March, and were very free scoring but that wasn't enough to top the League, as Colo-Colo are a point ahead, but have played a game more and our Libertadores group is wide open now
Northernpilgrim
The Palestino game needs a bit of explanation. Yes, we got two very early goals, but they were 3-0 down and reduced to 9 men inside 20 minutes, so I just kept attacking them. And we could have had more, as we missed one of the three penalties we were awarded
Northernpilgrim
10 points from 12 in the league in April was pleasing. The results in the Libertadores..... not so much which leaves us top of the league by a point, with a game in hand but already out of the Copa Libertadores
Northernpilgrim
May was disappointing but we do end the month top of the league but finish bottom of our Libertadores group

Northernpilgrim
August was pretty good and we extended our lead slightly at the top, with Colo-Colo suffering a wobble and being replaced in second by Catolica
Northernpilgrim
September was also one game from perfection and we now have a 6 point lead, and just four games left
Northernpilgrim
Two games in October, two wins and that left us just a point away from guaranteeing the title
Northernpilgrim
A perfect three wins out of three in November, including the first leg of the Cup Semi Final the first of which sealed the title which ended up being ours by nine points
Northernpilgrim
We finished the job off in the second leg of the semi final and won the Cup Final to complete the double
Northernpilgrim
Time to look for a suitable club to join. Everyone will have worked out by now that it's Argentina next, and I'm not an expert on the country, but I know enough to know that I should be looking for either the Boca Juniors or River Plate jobs. Argentina's season runs from August to May, so I might have to wait until the end of their season to move on.

Neotropolis
Boca & River Plate are the best two to aim for, but from what I understand, there's a couple of other decent ones too. San Lorenzo is one of them, I believe Velez is another but someone else may be able to give better info.

Northernpilgrim
March wasn't too bad, as I expected to be beaten in the Libertadores at Velez, and in the Deportes game, Kimuro was sent off inside 10 minutes and we ended the month top of the Campeonato Nacional and still in our Libertadores group, with a double header against Cristal up next. These two games will decide the group
Northernpilgrim
April was a frustrating month, as we blew a 3-0 lead against Coquimbo, scored first in the draw with Cristal, led 2-0 against Catolica, and led 3-1 after just 17 minutes before eventually losing to Cristal costing us top spot in the league and probably, qualification from our Libertadores group too
Northernpilgrim
May was a decent month considering the number of away games and was enough to return us to the top of the league but defeat to Velez meant a third placed finish in our Libertadores group
