I've always gone with the approach of putting a player on a position/roly/duty that matches his place in the formation assuming that was the best method. Having seen your progress with the United youh player, I'm not so sure now.

A like for like test (general training Vs role specific) would be ideal but I guess there are just so many variables over mutliple seasons of development.

yeah me and Rober spoke about testing. it would be interesting. but i mean, i pretty much play FM every day, i've never seen the rapid increases over 12 months before. i might have one or two players with high potential naturally increasing quick, but i've turned multiple average players into key ones. turned Ramsdale into England No1 within a season, i didn't even win the league but his rapid development got him that spot.

but i said before, its not just the stat increase, its morale staying high, everyone with high training ratings every month (ive failed to report a single player with bad training rating) this all helps for performances on the pitch.

this is a championship player i signed at the beginning of the season. he was transfer listed at ready for 6.75mil, in under 12 months, look at his increases. hes now a wonderkid

this is my training rating. everyone is training good, even players that are older and not even playing..i dont think Sam Surridge has even kicked a ball this season

Amazing work!

I followed your thread when you use the 4-1-3-1-1 Tequila Sunrise formation and noted with interest your tweaks for away games, home games, hard, easy etc. Mainly involving tight marking, get stuck in, width and d-line.

I used that to good effect with Milan. I am now using Fire and Water in my third season and wanted to know how you approach the big away game with this tactic.

I've implemented a similar approach but I've noticed the tempo is much higher in F@W, as well as width etc.

any further points for getting the best out of away games against tough teams?

Dear oh dear Knap..........WHAT THE HELL IS THIS TACTIC?!!?

Yes my team is good but not as good as Liverpool, Real Madrid or Barcelona. They are all better no question, I've really struggled against them in the past seasons especially Liverpool who knocked me out of the Champions league and the EFL Cup last season.

Make no mistake i literally battered the teams in these fixtures, hardly any of them had any decent chances, I know its only a handful of games but wow! The match stats have with the results have told me everything, incredible tactic well done Knap

Still using floated crosses?

I am on whipped crosses still with your tweak home and a combo of 2 more just drew my first game of the season against 20th place away from home typical

@grff well, normally we use assistant or we train players according what role the tactic uses. people think this is a way for them to understand the tactic better, which we've found out isn't the case, and in some cases, may stall development

I am afraid to have missed something about the training, my  english is not good enough i guess.

Could you please recap in simple words how should we set the individual training?

Thx

@radetzky it is just as good or better, to not train a player in a specifik role, but use the special focus and double intensity

hoping to use the new kashmir with an elite team. It's great going forward, not so much defensively. I suppose you can't have your cake and want to ear it too but what tactic is best for clean sheets and away games that would pair nicely? For an elite team that is. Aside from preachin blues.

Finally finished season 3 using Kashmir 433MUP111.

Fantastic if you have an elite level team but for tough away games a 4411/442 variant is likely best.

WBR & WBL leave lots of space in behind against Liverpool/City who play 433.

The new version Knap posted (KASHMIR 433 VOL 5 P102 EC CC) looks very encouraging.

Greenwood broke all sorts of scoring records :)

Holy ****! These Tactics are insane! Been using Beowulf 442 tactics (One with the Target man and poacher) that got me 2 promotions with York City easily. Won the FA Trophy and league double last season (Only lost 1 game in the league, 2 all together all season, lost to peterborough in the fa cup)

Now in League 2 in my 3rd season aiming for my 3rd back to back promotion of winning the league. I just can't stop winning! I am in the quarter final of the league cup after shocking Liverpool with 10 men. This season I am using a combination of Fire & Water 24321103EC and the successful  Beowulf 442 tactic I used since season 1. I am unstoppable. Unbeaten so far. Beat Liverpool and Bradford (Championship team) and a few others.

I have spend 0 money. Yes ZERO! all free transfers. I have signed a assistant manager with great motivation and mental stats, Also improved my coaching. Every staff in the club is my choice, even the director of football.  Been drawn Man United in the quarterfinals of the League Cup. Also Man United U23's in the other cup that I am lol.

Thanks for the Tactics. Someone DM the discord please.

Did you mean fire and water? or Can you put down a link maybe?
Also, I have an other question, are there any differences between tactics or only formation?

someone who's doing training normally, can they please check this page please. because i only have 57 injuries this year so far, from expected 119 and only couple months left of season

if people are getting a lot more injuries, i may have solved how to reduce that too. 57 is a low number and Bournemouth are injury prone team

So thats 75% away from.what i should be having hahahaha you have done something and its defo working. Long may it continue . I also have Troy parrot in my spurs sqaud who has played a handful of games and has reached is maximum stars already with the coached advice loooool 😂😂😂😂😂😎😎😎😎😎😎

Just train them individually on settings and NOT let your assistant do it  .

Then find the week areas of his game say for instance passing and train them in that attribute for season or until its better .

Also sack all your coaches and repmace them with fitness coaches above 15 or higher the better.  Then leave them and play game .

After a while you should see stats

improve

Troy Parrot can have a crazy rapid attribute increase. I've seen him loaned out on my game but Spurs are crazy for that. He develops so quick, and like Greenwood, physical attributes are impressive along with their height

So just to recap.

-General training: left to ass managed. No specific program like fm Korea and so on.

- individual training: train the player in his best position despite it does not fit with tactic position  +  train him in attributes he lacks to fit with the tactic + set double intensity

- hire the most number of coaches with +15 fitness and sack the others. No matter if the coaches with +15 fitness have not high values in attacking difensive or other training (correct??)

you can set it automatically in rest so dont have to do double on every player. if you're not in europe and your teams personality is good then should be no problem

click on a players profile, go to development, then progress...you'll see the page like i posted..if you look at my last screenshot you should get it from there

Are you separating objectives somehow for your physical coaches whether you are simply employing them and you are leaving?

i hire them and ask assistant to assign them. but not much they can do apart from fitness lol. so best you make yourself a good coach, and hire an assistant who is also a good coach

if you click on club info, then general, you will see you're squad personality...if its professional, even fairly profession, then intense training should be fine, but again, look out for those with poor natural fitness and injury prone

@RDF Tactics

Wow game changer. Just stumbled across your training points. Seems i have been doing it all wrong.

So basically you,

  • Let assman take over general training and don't use any schedules (how important are assman attributes)?
  • Take over individual training and set them all to default position (when do you manually set to a certain position? I see some that aren't default playing)
  • Pick a focus based on what stats you feel should be improved
  • Double intensity?
  • Hire 4 fitness coaches (2 for each category). Should you hire more?
  • Have assman and other coach (or yourself) just pick up the remaining categories regardless of star rating

Did I miss anything out? Also would appreciate a DM for the discord channel

perfect. Not everybody has to be def pos or att movement...but whatever they lack and you need.

example, Isak might be better doing Final Third training or Aerial, hes tall and a target my type, but not good at heading. His att movement is already good, but decisions and composure on 12, which is good but not top striker quality, you could increase that.

@RDF Tactics

When you have an abundance of good young prospects at the age range of 17-20, would it be better to train them in your club and benefit from your great Individual training style and use them on U18 or U23 or loan them out to lower division clubs in order to get play time?

Do you have a specific target number of attributes until you start focusing on another attribute set? For example, upon reaching 15 Anticipation on a striker, would it be better to switch to say, Passing in order to improve that?

Lastly do you guys assign assman to make mentoring groups?

RDF TRAINING

Summary by Rober

1. Get a lot of great fitness coaches, I have six. Three on each category. Put yourself and ass man at normal training categories, add 2 gk coaches for gk. If still room, find some normal coaches with model citizen personality.

2. Instead of training in position, add double intensity on individual training. Then select area which is lacking, f ex final third, that trains decisions and composure like shown here. These will increase very much. I think Almada started with 10 and 13, so +2 and still only 7months of season played.

3. This can be automated under rest in training tab. Select automation on all in individual, then they change according to his fitness levels to protect from training to hard when low fitness after matches, and get injuries.

4. If coaches have Model citizen personalities, you will also have increase in determination for many players. But not always so easy to find.

5. With this we recommend letting ass. man. handling normal training, and not combining this with other schedules, as we have hired may fitness coaches and have just you and ass man on normal categories.
