knap
Long throws and maybe short corners are a bit more exploitive. With unplugged tactics I have removed these set pieces and replaced with less exploitive routines.

Joshua-inn1992
@knap what do you think is the best tactic both defensive and offensive at the same time? Edited April 26, 2019 by Joshua-inn1992
knap
In theory the long throws will put more pressure on defence as the AI will eventually try attacking. P106 all cups and P103,, but if you check the screenshots there may be a better all round tactic

Momentum no doubt plays a big role with a big slice of luck, bear in mind the clean sheet run came after 3 and a bit seasons unbeaten, in that time my squad largely remained the same, especially the back 4 and 2 center mids If I've got the energy after this season I'll run one more without the throw in / corner exploits and see how it compares

smasha7
Just now, knap said: The curse of FM 19. Wasn't bad when I used 442, my strikers would often hit 30 + 20 goals between them per season, playing as Werder Bremen in Bundesliga 2 after they got relegated and Eggestein has 2 goals in January whilst Josh Sargeant has 3 goals
knap
2 Striker systems are much better, but nowhere near previous years.
FMPassion
Using Tactic: !!!!!FM19.3.4BEOWULF442KnapP106ALLCUPS Playing with: Real Oviedo (Second season in La Liga) Training: Ass. Manager Opp. Instructions: None Team talks: Ass. Manager (was doing them untill the Atletico game. After the change - the results drastically improved, also the team started playing with consistance in both halves and rarely allowing turnarounds - was happening quite a lot before) Positives: Great performance from the wingers, wonderful combinations with and between the strikers. Many goals (2nd in the league), and have in mind that set pieces didn't play so much importance for my side. Slight Negatives: Despite good play, shots and chances in away games - the results are not so good, but that's something common for FM in recent years. So I'm not too bothered by conceding so much goals away from home, and I know that my defence is far from perfect. And also FM19 is too often surprising you with nonsense turnarounds, and undeserved late goals for the AI. I don't change the mentality for away games, and as you can see from the screens - still got some nice results. Style of play: Buying only spanish players and the 3 Fgn slots are for south americans (mainly argentinos - better than brazilians in my game for now) BIG THANKS to Knap for this great tactic. Will continue using it definetely and posting when I have the time.

RockIt147
Which is best for my Wolves in first season without any transfers ? 4-4-2 PFP(p109 all cups) or 4-4-1-1(p108 no loss) or Beowulf 4-1-4-1 ?? and which is best for LL just like Nottm Forest ? Have you ever test your tactics with underdogs or LL teams ?? Edited April 30, 2019 by RockIt147
knap
I used to test with LL teams like Margate, but all the tactics worked so do not bother anymore. As long as you can squad build it should not be a problem. I don't test with underdogs because there are so many variables and potential for injury to key players to skew any results. MR L Testing which has not started, but this testing controls variables so underdog results become more meaningful.

knap
It is probably better to use a 442 even if forcing players to play as a winger or Wide midfielder.
