[Brazil] Data Issues

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I'm posting this here because, even tho the player is contractually connected with Porto in Portugal, he's been playing for several consecutive years in Brazil so I suppose it's the brazillian research team that makes the player assessment. Talking about Walter:

For consecutive FM editions this player is been presented much more decently than what he actually shows to be. Even at this last 19.3 version, he is still considered very decent for a top team like Porto (2,5 stars relative to a team that has Aboubakar, Marega, Brahimi and so on). I could give my opinion on the attributes and talk about many things that (in my opinion) seem wrong, but since I'm a believer than an image is worth a thousand words, let me just post a picture of Walter and leave everyone to their own conclusions:

Honestly thinks this merits a revision.

With my full appreciation to your (and everyone's) volunteer research work.

These pics are a bit old, his situation is hard to represent as his weight fluctuates a lot in real life, this is a more recent pic, for instance:

I do understand it's hard to represent his abbilities. Still think he's much better in-game than IRL.

Thanks for your answer :)

According to the Rodrygo's recent interview with Marca, some data changes are necessary for him as I have added his comments in his words below:

Quote

Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos were idols of mine when I was younger.

Quote

"I think everyone who knew me as a kid saw me always support Real Madrid and say that one day I'd play here.

"I always told me family and representatives that I wanted to play for Real Madridand the deal was closed in just 20 minutes."

Question: Who is the biggest of those idols for you?

Quote

"Hazard! He's a player that I've always followed. I had a photo of him as my phone wallpaper. Just imagine. Now I'm going to be playing with him! And [Karim] Benzema and Vinicius [Junior], they're two phenomenons."

Proofs:

I assume you mean add his idols (the players mentioned on the quotes you posted). And Real Madrid as favorite club?

Yes, that's what I meant. I just wanted to be 100% sure. :)

Taffarel:

Full name: Mergen is missing

His 1998 history entry from Atl. Mineiro is missing.

All transfer fees are missing.

Mergen isn't part of his name according to his Brazilian FA records.

He is in Turkey's database, I'll let the Turkish HR know about this.

My source was the Danish Wiki site so it’s likely not reliable:

https://da.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cláudio_Taffarel

Edit:

It’s also part of the English Wiki site and at least two facebook profiles (could be fake).

Yes, it's also mentioned on Internacional's (his former team) site: http://www.internacional.com.br/conteudo?modulo=1&setor=&secao=270&codigo=25

But at the Brazilian FA it is not mentioned.
