You got a replacement coming in, I presume?

I was going to bring in Pickford, but he's not really an upgrade. I've got my eye on a couple of others as well if I can afford them.

:D could you imagine Mitro at Barca for real?

Some very good signings from City, were they first choice? if so weakening your rivals :brock:

Out with Messi, in with Mitro...a somewhat different style. Yes all first choice, capitalising on their players moaning about not being in CL  Here's another potential one:

Just need to raise a bit more cash to get the deal through. Keegan's dream team is coming alive!

The sale of Nketiah, albeit under his £45m value, gave us the fund to complete the signing of Harry Kane. If there is any striker worthy of Shearer's no. 9 shirt, its Kane.

Jeez, how are your finances looking?  You've been spending enormously, with at least 200M in instalments to pay yet.

We're looking okay - TV money, CL money and 60k stadium sell outs are giving us a solid foundation, plus the money we've made from selling players. But you're right, a lot of transfer debt still to pay off - it's at £177m at the moment! Think it's time to cut back the spending now the team is all set up.

2021/22 Mid Season Update

Premier League

ee561dd547c73eea16b91865ac53e7e2.png

After the Burnley game we broke the 14 game record winning streak in the PL, but we've had moments of struggle since then. Last season we finished 19-0-0 at home, but we've now deawn 1 and lost 1 at home vs our biggest title rivals. We had a run of big wins in November, but heavy defeats away to Arsenal and West Ham in December has shown the frailties of our approach. Teams are sitting more this season, and if they're swift on the counter and get it wide before our full backs have recovered then we are torn apart.

We're still in a title challenge, with the surprise of West Ham up there too. We've already lost more games than last season, but other big sides have also dropped a lot of points.

Comfortably through to the knockouts to face Milan who will prove a tough challenge.

League Cup

Finally a run in the league cup, a competition Newcastle have never won.

Our first choice front 3 have been prolific and they've been recognised worldwide:

What a front 3!!

Ronaldo been playing CM at Madrid or they shoe horning him in?

Also filling SJP in week in week out, any expansions in the pipeline?

Think he's still out left wing most games so just shoehorned into the 11.

60k is max expansion capacity so any further upgrades will be via a new stadium. Keegan Park? Hmmm

March 2022 Update

A great run of form (bar a disappointing home draw against Southampton) came to a crushing end with two defeats in vital games, losing the cup final followed with a loss at Old Trafford.

A bitterly disappointing defeat, one we definitely should have won on paper and on the day. Watford tucked away all 3 of their efforts on target and we were extremely wasteful in front of goal.

So with 10 games left we're top on goal difference - the defeat against Utd bringing them level on points. It's a 5-horse title race, Man City recovering after a poor start to the season.

First couple of players from an affiliate club - too bad they're utter crap and so are the result tbh (Danny Walker 1.5-2.5* PA). Steve Sharp still the only top class player through the intakes.

5 games left and 6 points clear. Utd have the easiest run in, while Liverpool have a very tough one.

Fantastic form, winning every game except the away leg against Porto.

Despite losing the previous game 4-0 at Anfield, we came back to win the title in style at home. A 7-0 rout rounded off by 17 year old Geordie Steve Sharp with his first senior goal :D
