ToMexico!!
2023 Youth Intake "Golden Generation" Looks like some potential but there isn't. Personalities are awful, determination is pretty poor overall. This is my current HoYD. Best I could get, possibly time for a new one if similar is available. noikeee
How the **** are you already in 2023! Playing the game quite quickly hey! Seems like Slovenia is similar to Croatia or Slovakia or Hungary, I've found the gap between 1st and 2nd tier tends to be small in those countries, usually after gaining promotion it's not much of an issue surviving. Now go on take on Maribor and Olimpija.

Although it did mean I missed the intake the last twice as I wasn't paying attention Yeah you're right once you get up to the top tier its quite easy it seems, that next step is overcoming Maribor/Olimpija/Domzale/Aluminaj on a regular basis not just once or twice a season. We will go on a run of 5/6 games without a loss but can then go 4/5 games without a win just as easily.
ToMexico!!
Slovenian First League - 2022/23 Another season over and another improvement. 4th place is a great finish with Olimpija (who led all season), the mighty Maribor and Aluminij those above us. We missed out on Europe though with Triglav getting that place through winning the FA Cup. We went out in the 2nd Round to Domzale. Again sorted by minutes played. A fair few youth players among the ranks now, with only Vidmar contributing heavily. Surprisingly player of the year was the midfield maestro Rojc (six goals and six assists) and not the leagues top scorer Pljava who scored an impressive 25 goals including all four in a 4-0 win over Olimpija. Both players however were selected in the Slovenian Team of the Season. Over the course of the season we improved the Youth Recruitment and Junior Coaching to Well Established and Excellent respectively. We spent pittance of the transfer budget and are well under the weekly wage budget by nearly 2.5k. We've been given nearly 600k to spend in the new season. ToMexico!!
Pre-Season 2023/24 The board expect to avoid relegation still, happy with that. Quarter Final for the cup though now. Two players join for cash, firstly I forked out 60k on a promising young striker from Domzale, he will be a bench player at first. A secondly a new GK, Baric arrives from relegated Rudar for 45k, he will become first choice. I plan to loan out a number of young players who have been promoted from the U19s but are not ready for first team football yet.
ToMexico!!
2023/24 Winter Break A strong half of the season as we sit pretty in second place just one point behind Gorica. Maribor are on out tales but last seasons champions are really struggling down in 7th place. They just offered me the chance of an interview to take over the hotseat. I politely declined. Pljava continued last seasons form to score 14 goals so far this season. Marko Huc has been the main creator with his 10 assists from AML.
ToMexico!!
Youth Intake 2024 A 'golden generation' Four 5* potential players. Better personalities on the whole but still not many great ones. Kuzma is the best player from the bunch. Needs to really work on his physicals. Some good stats elsewhere; Tackling, Teamwork, Bravery.
ToMexico!!
Title Showdown!! We go into the last game of the season with the chance to win our first ever Slovenian title. ToMexico!!
Boom!... We left it late, five minutes from time experienced midfielder Rojc popped up with the winner and subsequently won us our first Slovenian title. Winning the title means obviously qualifying for Europe. The board have given us a decent budget to work with in bringing in new recruits
ToMexico!!
Slovenian First League -2023/24 As above we won the the last day of the season by beating Maribor to overtake them to top spot. We used a lot less players this season. Sorted by minutes played. It was Pljava again who was the main goal getter scoring 20 goals for the season. Huc made 11 assists. Finances are at an all time high as the board strike sponsorship deals. Three new deals that rake in just under £1.2m per season. Europe will only help the finances in the future. The title win and prospect of having to use other clubs stadiums in Europe prompted the board to go big or go home as they announced plans for a new stadium to be built. No information yet as in the planning stage. The board also wanted a stable future, they duly offered me a new deal, which I signed. ToMexico!!
Pre-Season Update 2024/25 A bit of a long one... First up I asked the board if we could turn professional. They agreed. And it happened sooner than I expected. The board expected us to finish midtable, reach the quarters of the cup and reach the second qualifying round of the CL. Achievable. In the CL we drew Maccabi Tel-Aviv, could have been easier. And we were out, our first venture in Europe ended at the first hurdle, 3-0 on aggregate was not that bad though. Consolation was a nice little sum of money to keep us ticking over. We dropped into the EL. And we drew... Zilina from Slovakia. A chance maybe. I've made four transfers so far for very little outlay. Savin and Sory are first teamers whilst Draghia and Gochev will rotate off the bench. tl;dr - we turned professional, signed some players, went out of the CL
ToMexico!!
Brda on a Europa League Tour We faced Zilina up first... We were sublime, smashing three past them in each leg. Much tougher opponent up next as we face Polish side, Legia. And we're easily defeated. And thats Europe for this season.

ToMexico!!
2024/25 Winter Break Improvements first, with the added CL/EL exit money I asked for upgrades, the board needed convincing though. So JC is at Exceptional and YR is Extensive, lets see if this gets me results. You will also see the new stadiums capacity will be 3817. Much better than the 500 capacity we have now. Onto the season so far. We exited Europe early so that gave us chance to concentrate on the league. Top by six points. Our losses were to Maribor (1-0) and Gorica (3-1). Savin has been a revelation up front, scoring 21 goals in 31 games so far.
ToMexico!!
Youth Intake 2025 A potential "golden generation" Not bad actually, most notable is the better determination across the board, some good personalities and our net is being cast further thanks to the upgrade. Hribersek is the best of the bunch with 3* CA and 5* PA. Fairly professional, decent determination. Has bits to work on like passing, anticipation and strength but has good stats in finishing and composure already. Looking forward to getting this guy on the bench from next season onwards. ToMexico!!
Two in a Row... We played in a real humdinger of a match against Olimpija to clinch a second title in a row. We went 4-0 up before they inexplicably drew level before Pljava completed his hattrick and won the game for us in the 86th minute. Jubilation!! ToMexico!!
Slovenian First League - 2024/25 Another successful league campaign as we achieve back to back league wins. A fairly big margin of victory in the end. 11 points clear over our nearest rivals. Maribor did get one over on me though as they beat us in the FA Cup final. A few more players were used than last season, we added two in the winter window both youngsters from Olimpija for a combined 280k. Sorted by minutes played. Savin was the key, signed from Ukrainian non-league he went on to score 32 goals in his debut season, ending the league campaign with 26 goals, taking the top scorer award. Pljava was runner up with his 16 league goals. Club Another improvement in the financial element of the club as we ended the season with over a million in the bank before the new season sponsorship money came in. The new stadium has taken a step forward as building has commenced on the aptly poorly named Brda Stadium. Its also increased in size and will now hold 4243 spectators. The league improved by seven places to 28th overtaking the Polish, Czech and Israeli top flight competitions. The club improved by 85 places to 287th. ToMexico!!
Brda's European Adventure 2025/26 With the league win we entered the Champions League qualifying stages once again, this time hoping to get further than our first qualifying round last season. We had a mighty good run, beating Ludogorets, Cliftonville and Malmo over two legs before being demolished by Besiktas. We drop into the Europa League group stages, an amazing achievement nonetheless. Tough group. But the adventure continues. Major money coming in from the CL qualifying then being drawn in the EL Group Stages.

oriole01
Impressive run in the CL qualifiers. That EL group isn't the strongest I've seen, but wins are probably gonna be hard to come by. ToMexico!! ToMexico!!
2026 Youth Intake A god damn golden generation he says. Apparent potential but I can't see it. ToMexico!!
Slovenian First League - 2025/26 Another season flies by and we fell just short, Olimpija were just unstoppable, they never slipped up. However, we got our own back by defeating Olimpija in the cup final, thanks to Hribersek, his two goals from off the bench sealed our first domestic cup triumph. Squad sorted by Minutes played. Plenty of goals from the attacking players this season, with four players hitting double figures and of course Savin the Almighty smashing in 41 of his own. He broke records galore and those are just the Brda records, he also now holds the record for First League goals (28) and subsequently led the goal scoring charts by four goals. He was named in the Team of the Season along with Vidmar and Pecnik. Olimpija filled all the other spots. He and Pecnik finished 2nd and 3rd in the Player of the Season awards too. Improvements again in sponsorship and loads of prize money in this season. We enter the EL qualifying rounds this season due to finishing second in the league. ToMexico!!
Pre-Season 2026/27 The boards expectations are fair and we've been given 6m to spend on improving the squad, I'm looking to spend around 1m on the squad. We're now 3rd most reputable club in Slovenia behind Maribor and Olimpija. So far I've spent around 750k on five players in total. Derenda is a young striker, a bench filler. Breci was released by Maribor, he will challenge for the RB slot. Cervenka is my new first choice LB. Vucicevic is a promising Serbian midfielder and Krabec is my signing of the summer so far. The 16 year old Czech CM is the player for the future of my midfield, will prove to become a real bargain. I'm still looking at a back up GK, a potential first team CB and an AML. ToMexico!!
2026/27 Europa League Qualifiers We managed to reach the Europa League Group stage for the a second successive season. What a run, beating Differdange of Luxembourg, Lokomotiv Tblisi from Georgia, Videoton from Hungary and the giants of Fiorentina from Italy. A key player for that run has been 17 year old Zan Hribersek who has scored 6 goals in those 8 qualifying games. His partnership with Savin has blossomed in both Europe and the domestic league. We've been handed a decent group, Europa League specialists Sevilla, Nice and Czech side Sparta Prague. We aim to be competitive once again.
ToMexico!!
The Adventure Continues... A inspired goal keeping performance from Baric who made an incredible 16 saves to help us beat Sevilla 1-0. That gave us three wins in the group which was unthinkable after losing the first three. ToMexico!!
2026/27 Winter Break We reach the winter break after having to play catch up with so many re-arranged games from competing in Europe. We've been absolutely dominant. Our only loss coming to second placed Gorica. Savin once again leading the way with 31 goals with Hribersek his partner in crime who has scored 23 goals, both have 10 assists apiece too. In the Europa League we face Spartak Moscow of Russia in the 1st KO Round.
ToMexico!!
One Step too Far We fought admirably in the first leg only to lose 4-2 at home to Spartak, whilst they beat us 2-0 back in Russia. Hribersek finished the campaign with nine goals to his name, not bad for a 17 year old in his first European season.
ToMexico!!
2027 Youth Intake Our Italian stand in HoYD's first intake and its not a golden generation Some good determination and personalities amongst the better potential players. We also get our first foreign player through the ranks, I would like to say he came through our affiliate team Birkirkara but its doesn't say so and we only linked up with them about 3 months ago. Best player from the bunch, I would retrain him to CB but he has very poor heading. I'll work on that first and see how much it improves and decide whether to retrain him to CB or not. ToMexico!!
Conte Spotted! Its not he first time we've had a big clubs manager spotted at one of our games but Chelsea's Antonio Conte has been spotted watching youngster Zan Hribersek. He's also wanted by Juventus. He has no buyout clause and we have plenty of money in the bank so if a bid does materialise I hope the board don't intervene.

ToMexico!!
Slovenian First League - 2026/27 A domestic double sealed for the first time in the save. We won the title with around half a dozen games to spare, so used that to rotate the squad before the cup final. Despite being the fresher side Maribor did well until the 90th minute when Krabec the 17 year old Czech popped up with the winner. Sorted by minutes played. Two players stand out; Savin and Hribersek scored for fun, 41 and 32 goals respectively. Five players reached double figures for assists. Thanks to the European run we continued to make money and our successes domestically have seen an increase in sponsorship revenue for the season ahead. ToMexico!!
Improvements Big improvements for the league and club in the European rankings. The league jumps above the Serbian SuperLeague, Norweigen Premier Division and Romanian First League. Up to 19th in the nation coefficients, so a slight improvement in the EL entry points. We're drawn against another club from Luxembourg in the 1st Qualifying Phase of the CL.
ToMexico!!
The Season Ahead The boards expects.... as do I! Domestically we are imperious, its Europe we need to keep battling hard for improvements. Two years after starting the build we've moved into our brand new stadium. Lets make it a fortress. We now rake in the most sponsorship money in the league. And we're now the most reputable club in the land.
ToMexico!!
Board Annoyance Thanks board, PSG bid which they accepted, I protested and they agreed to reject the offer. In come Man Utd a day later and they tell me to pee off. We don't need the money! Day after that Spurs and Benfica come in for by bench striker. I reject because I'm already losing Hribersek, he's unhappy quelle surprise. Edit: Chelsea bid first, then Arsenal, they're getting bigger and better. Edit No2 Yay, signs for the lowest bidding team
ToMexico!!
Replacement A bargain at 230k and Italian as 2nd nationality, so doesn't count towards the foreign quota. Derenda is on his way out too, had a mare with a 400k release clause I forgot he had in his contract so its one of Benfica, Inter or Milan who he will join. ToMexico!!
Europe Qualification Route We beat Differdange easily to meet Craiova of Romania in the next round, we were humbled away from home to exit the competition 3-1 on aggregate. We dropped into the Europa League where we met Montenegrin side Sutjeska, we defeated them easily 9-2 on aggregate to set up a tie with Ferencvaros. A comfortable 2-0 home win was followed by a 1-0 away performance. Into the group stages we go. Qualification would be great but I will take 3rd of course.
