smashing start.

Thanks mate! I honestly have no idea how it's happening, we only have 3 or 4 players good enough for this level apparently.

This year with the added introduction of Dynamics that has a bigger bearing on your squad in the game. With youth saves the team doesn't change much year on year due to the limitations of not being able to buy players, so team cohesion and happiness starts at a higher constant, compared to other clubs in the division who may buy 5/6 players each year.

Well my theory anyway.

That's interesting, I didn't consider that. I think the respect level because I started as a well known person certainly helped, but when times were tough the first two seasons in the Challenge League I had every man and his dog coming to me about the poor dressing room atmosphere, but I lied through my teeth and said I'd do something about it, and just hoped they wouldn't bring it up again. But yeah the team cohesion probably does play a massive part.

2028 Youth Intake

9919cd1bc19731b647e2eb1709bb6bec.png

A decent intake, one with less current ability than I'm used to seeing, but with the ability of the players we have now, I guess that's not too surprising.

d4be54419d768340ee9d6735adb25941.png

His defensive stats aren't amazing, but his pace is unlike any of our defenders, so hopefully his ability to close down outweighs his poor technicals. That being said, his determination and potential for development turns him into a very good prospect.

ba2a919c58b77f37a9fc09f4353d6d22.png

Keeper is probably our weakest area, not because our players are bad, but our other positions are just much stronger depth wise. This guy isn't very far from the first team already!

He looks to be a good long term replacement for Meyer 7A when he leaves.

Our biggest match in this save in this career so far, and by far our biggest win. We're into the Swiss Cup Final!!

One of Germany's greatest keepers has an interest in one of players. He won't get him of course, but it's pretty cool seeing players become managers of low rep clubs and build their way up.

We've beaten the First Division champions. Dominated all game, then along comes Manuel Siemund in the 89th minute that sent me wild and had my parents rushing into the room because they thought I was hurt.  Phenomenal effort.

And of course that means....

2027/28 Season Review

After our historic cup win, I may as well update you on the rest of the season:

96b39f5e5015cd0f0fe3f31ed2f5ec7c.png

After the start we had, was it ever really in doubt? That being said, I'm still lost for words as to how easily we won. We were still dominated possession wise and we still gave away the ball far too cheaply but we proved extremely difficult to break down and made the most of the chances presented to us.

I've lost the screenshots for the win and awards, because we won the league with 6 games to go, but I won the Manager of the Year and Cyril Holenweger 8B* won player of the year.

Best Eleven

Pretty easy to see who our best player was!

a399ca292cff367a62b91d2b4f5a5c62.png

Lorenz Oertli 4D

Jorge Guimarães 5B* - Giovanni Simeone 2G - Cyril Hottelier 5C - Trésor Endzanga 3F - Killian Braud 2C

Amadou Candé 8A* - Tim Meyer 7A - Nuno Alexandre 9A

Cyril Holenweger 8B* - Edis Avdukic 6A

Next Season

Next season, try not to get too outclassed in the Super League, and to enjoy our time in the Europa League, because I have a feeling we won't get another opportunity for a little while. I'm not expecting big things, it would be nice to have a win in the qualifiers though. Having Tim Meyer 7A leave us will be a massive loss, hopefully someone else steps up.

He's gone :(

On that note, it'll be interesting to see how other players I couldn't hold on to have fared.

Artur Gomes 4C*: Left for Super League Luzern in 2023, featured for their U21s for a bit and made 3 first team apps last season. He has 16 U21 Swiss caps, so he's been pretty successful.

Mauro Spano 4A: Left for Super League Sion on a free in 2024, and has become a regular for them, and has a bunch of U21 caps as well.

Dario Fabbro 3C: Went to Super League Lugano in 2024, barely featured, released on a free before being picked up by Challenge League Vaduz, barely featured, and was released. Good career decision champ.

Georges Amrein 4B: Left for Super League team Luzern for 28k in 2024, featured for their U21 side and now seems to be a part of their first team squad, although has only appeared once.

Betim Kllokoqi 3A: went to Neuchatel on a free in the Challenge League, had a couple of loan spells in the 3rd tier and did okay, before fellow Challenge League side Biel-Bienne picked him up last season and he appeared mostly as a sub.

Hold on....

We're equal favourites for last. That's actually a positive. We might have a chance at staying up!

With the way you've worked up all the way from those lower tiers, I almost overlooked that you're obviously a Swiss team and you can skip all those early qualifying rounds xD

That's a relief!

We'd be last if Zurich weren't producing absolute poo. I was very worried when we lost our first few games, and there was no indication it was going to get better. But we managed to fluke a few wins here and there, and at the halfway point we have our heads just above water. Holenweger 8B* is a big player for us, scoring 13 goals so far, putting him second in the league.

Swiss Cup

Only one real difficult game here, but we scraped home in the last 10. Thun will be even tougher.

I'm very impressed with our performance in this tournament. Great efforts against Ludogorets and even a home draw against Palermo! We can hold our own in Europe but get flogged in Switzerland. Just FM things, right?

You're playing in the Fraud country of them all. And your manager is a massive Tennis Fraud.

And you almost frauded your way through the Europa League group stages despite barely keeping afloat in the league.

Kurt Günter is proud.

2028/29 Season Review

There's a lot of red here, but a bit of yellow and green. Was it enough to stay up?

6f8dfad37f7f3f11e6e679ef075f6828.png

It was, but only because Zurich had a shocker of a year.

What's that EC next to our name?

100dff1f89bea62912e9d67a97c30b18.png

We managed to retain the cup, and we did against the top 2 sides in the league. We benefited from Thun playing their kids, whilst our boys just rose to the occasion against Young Boys. And who else but our top 2 prospects from our golden intake to seal the win for us!

Stats Leaders/Best Eleven

Reloading the skin isn't fixing their skin colour, but the important thing to take note from here is that we are kind of a one man team. We have him for another 2 years, so hopefully we can do something of note to ensure he stays longer.

Next Season

I'm going to change up the tactics a little bit. Nothing too drastic, I might just push the fullbacks up into actual wingbacks to hopefully curb the poor passing completion rate. I'm going to add more specific instructions as well, as I feel that now the players are decent enough to stick to them.

That being said, my aim is to consolidate our place in the top division, maybe do a little better than 9th? Might be a bit too much to ask, but I'm aiming high.

As for the Europa League, we qualified this year, there's no reason why we can't do it again, our team is a year older, wiser and stronger.

Progress

After this season I think I'll remove Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment as of next season, as they're maxed out, and I'll put in our ranking in Europe and our European progress as well.

EURO 2028

Just realised I forgot to post this, and what an interesting edition it was:

5abf31d386114994de24b381a3c4b479.png

Two teams who played each other in the group played each other in the final, and it was two underdogs in Austria and Denmark and it was Austria who triumphed after a very difficult run in which they saw off Germany, Portugal and Italy!

Europa League

I'm not happy at all with this. We were pathetic against Qarabag.

I'm feeling that something has to change. Instead of having a set formation from the beginning and hoping my team adapt to it, I'm going to cater to my team's needs. I'm obviously going to always have 4 at the back, but the other 6 will depend on where my other strong players are best at playing. If that means that certain elements of the game are 'exploited' then so be it. But I want my best 11 on the pitch no matter how they line up.
