What graphics card(s) is recommended to get 5 stars on the pcs capability?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I currently play FM on two pcs. The one which graphics card have been decreased due to problems and can only reach 1 star while the new one I bought some weeks ago has 3 stars. I'd like to know what graphics cards requirements to get 5 stars on the capability because playing on low graphics isn't nice to watch, while on higher is smooth and nice. The pc I get 3 stars on is running an AMD Radeon 520 while the one which can only get 1 star is running an Intel HD Graphics 4600.

Thanks.

The Intel HD is at the bottom end of acceptable cards and will not give good results.  The Radeon in at the bottom end of the mid-range and will give average results.  Here is a list of the top-end graphics cards for both NVidia and AMD and the answer to your question is the best one that you can afford and will be compatible with the machine.  I would, however, not get too hung up on the star performance rating as many machines will run the game smoothly without showing a 5-star rating

My game usually shows me a 1-1.5 star rating for graphics, I think the highest I have ever 'achieved' was 3 stars - never noticed any drop in performance graphics-wise except (it's a laptop) and it can be a bit 'stuttery' in 3D when running off battery power.

Thanks for the answer. For the PC with the Intel one I am considering a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming X. I guess that would run everything on high without major problems/lag etc?

That card will be perfectly good for running FM- when you load the game, select the option in graphics to autoselect the graphics settings and you will be fine.

Remember that the Intel card is integrated onto the motherboard and the GTX 1050Ti is dedicated so be sure to check with a specialist that your machine will be compatible for the new card.  If you autoselect, the game will assess your system and set the correct graphics level and with a good card, may well be set at the top settings.  If the game runs well, Adjusting the settings upwards will make little or no difference.
