Is it allowed for squad members and staff to run onto the field to celebrate goals nowadays?

I believe so but if all the players are off the park, the opposition can kick off apparently

No. Panama tried it against England.

Henry only scored 51 goals for France. If he gets to the level of Neymar, let alone Messi or Ronaldo, then Mbappe could obliterate that record.

Indeed.

He's also gonna have over 20 caps by the end of the WC, at 19. Wonder if he could beat Thuram's record of 140-something.

From counter-attack to playing it all the way back to the keeper...

However, freekick time.

Kylian Mbappe is the first teenager to score at least twice in a World Cup match since Pele vs Sweden in 1958.

just shows how rare a young player excels at a World Cup, although I didn't think it would be 60 years

Why the hell isn't Dybala on the pitch? :D

Messi still picks the team for 12 more minutes + stoppage time

He can't play with Messi.

142's the record, to be precise. That'll be difficult to surpass, but at ~10 caps a year for the next 12 years (provided he avoids any massive long-term injuries), Mbappe's certainly got a decent chance.

Managerial ineptitude, and the puppet coach Sampaoli doesn't want to play him either.

how is Mbappe an apprentice when he had a cracking season for Monaco last year that put him on the global map?

it's not as if he's came into this World Cup and done a Toto Schillachi from Italia 90 :D

Yeah I think this proves that Messi is not cut out to be a manager.

Besides Messi, Aguero, Higuain and Dybala, i don't think any of the Argentinian squad would get in the France B team.

What if he brings in Iniesta and Xavi on his staff?

Paolo Dybala had more goals for Juventus in 2017-18 (26) than minutes in this World Cup (22)

Thauvin's about to get his chance.

I want to see the reaction of the Newcastle fans here if he scores.

to be honest, he's not in the team because of good players

unlike the Argentina one when it's player coaches team/coach picks local players to get fans on his side

Indeed. Mbappé has been known by everybody for 1½-2 years and is the second most expensive player in the history if you look beyond the fake loan deal PSG made due to FFP.

Schillachi was more of a "one tournament wonder" then an apprentice in 1990. IIRC he scored for Italy only once after Italia90 :D

Otamendi throwing himself to the floor when he thinks Fazio brushing against him is a French player, then having a  tantrum for not getting a penalty is one of my favourite things so far.

Come on director, show us Maradona. I want to see his face as Argentina get humiliated.
