That logic is very flawed... Going by that, Perica Ognjenovic is a much better player than Juan Carlos Valeron because he played for Real Madrid.

I have no idea what you're on about but we're talking about Leroy Sané and Julian Brandt. Both key players for their respective sides.

Set up for Muller to come on and score his trademark deflected mishit into the bottom corner.

Simultaneous injuries in both matches.

Bringing Gomez instead of Wagner was a bad choice, too.

Yep, that is a penalty this time.

If Mexico go out of this with 6 points, that would be amazing.

It would be typically Mexican to win the first two games and still go out.

There's no point watching the other game on iPlayer. It's so far behind.

Granqvist is pretty good at penalties for a centre half.

Andreas Granqvist, penalty master. Better strike rate than Ronaldo. :D

That goal they conceded against Korea could prove decisive.

Yeah, literally every stream is at least 1min behind.

Whether it be legal or illegal. :D

here we go.... Muller to squeek Germany through with the spawniest goal of the entire World Cup. It's inevitable.

 that would be typical of no-one, ever, surely it'd be a first?

If Germany win 1-0 and Sweden win 2-0, who goes through?

As inevitable as Argentina's late winner last night.

What would happen if both Mexico and Germany score 1 goal. Ger win 1-0 and Mexico lose 1-2?

No consistency at all with these dives. This ones a yellow. The 50 before were not.

Wow, someone at the World Cup has been booked for diving! (weirdly, was more obstruction than diving)

Yas. Go on the Swedes 🇸🇪

That was my reaction until I realised it'll most likely mean Gamboa at RB vs Rosenborg.  :D

You're not familiar with all the ways things don't go Mexico's way, there was even a 'When will Mexico finally get some luck?' thread ;)

And then BBC1 show you the penalty before the iPlayer stream even gets to the guy taking it.

How has Mario Gomez not scored this WC? Had so many good heading opportunities.

Gamboa will still be buzzing off having Neymar in his back pocket.

Be harsh if Mexico go out with 6. Hope they don't!

I forgot how jammy Portugal were to get through in 3rd place with 3 points at the Euros, unreal when you think about it.

That is a terrible attempt from Hernandez.

Yeah, the 3rd placed possibilities made the Euros more interesting but was a **** take for some teams.

I can still just about remember how dreadful Germany were at Euro 2000 (even an England team managed by Kevin Keegan beat them, for crying out loud). This lot are probably worse.

They were absolutely honking at Euro 2000.

This isn't a 'bad' team. Too many similar players, and too many out of form.

Don't think he was born for either of those.
