I was thinking more about the timing, 19-20 is a bad age to lose 9 months of development.

Yeah, that's 100% right, unfortunately. I doubt he'll ever make the breakthrough here now :(

Man Juventus got absolutely robbed there.

You're looking good for Champions League qualification at the least though, what a great first season!

Cheers! CL Qualification would be unbelievable... I don't want to tempt fate by thinking of anything higher :D

Congrats on what you are doing there! Hopefully there would be some world-class players sign for San Marino and replacing the loanees.

Cheers! That's definitely the aim. Excited for our next intake :D

Now that we're in Serie A, the gloryhunters are out in force:

It'll be interesting to see what happens to the NT games and European games. Will they be played at our new stadium? I hope so :D Here's all the competitions that take place at our current stadium:

(Also, while I was in the stats I found the salary one quite interesting...)

San Marino Calcio Youth Intake!

One of the best players of his generation  I've never had that before in any save. And he's born in Borgo Maggiore, which means...

Damn, he's also Italian :( I don't see much chance of having him represent San Marino...

Never expected to check and see you guys top of the league!!! And then the last few games coming crashing back down to earth, still all to play for and plenty of opportunity to try and grab a spot in Europe.

Very nice intake, San Marino players are on the up, well if they don't decide to play for Italy!

Don't be too disheartened, it's your first season in Serie A, you should be well at the other end of the table. It's still possible you'll get a Europa league place at the least but even if you don't, still a very solid season overall.

Cheers! The support is appreciated :) I'm delighted with our first season, no matter how it ends up. A really good platform to build on.

A couple of midfield injuries meant we had to give a semi-rare start to John Hou Saeter, as well as a first team debut for youth team product Emiliano Cafasso. They repaid us handsomely :D

Lots to like about Cafasso - check out that 7.91 average in the U20s!

Were you playing the Forretress formation or what???

 We're definitely changing the formation up. Our 4-4-2 was way too attacking, and it made for unrealistic scorelines, terrible defensive play, and not very fun football in general. We're going to try out a more defensive 4-4-2 next year, as well as possibly a 4-2-3-1.

actually not bad

While I mainly got Vardy because he's Jamie Vardy, I figure that he could be really useful off the bench as a Defensive Forward when we're trying to close out games... that's the plan, anyway.

Exactly this, you've gotten San Marino in Europe, that's a great start. ;)

Eagerly hoping that something weird happens and you face an actual Sanmarinese team from San Marino in Europe at some stage. :D You'd have to tank that Italian league coefficient until you'd have to play qualifiers. :D
