Hasselbaink at Benfica has me so interested in how the hell that came about.

But definitely, hopefully Chelsea come calling.

He's had a great time on this save, 3 Eredivisie titles (1 at Ajax and 2 at Vitesse) then won the Liga NOS.

I'm also hopeful Chelsea come in for me. I guess it was one of the long-term aims of the save to manage there. I'd love to do an academy slant on the save there but looking at the lack of European success in this career (well, other than the Europa League) so far I think it would just be best to try and win trophies.

Have you managed a favored team yet? I'm on with a career and the aim is to get to my favored team, plus I want the achievement.

Not yet on this one, I think I set Dinamo Zagreb as the favoured team for Adzic and I went to Rijeka instead.

Ahh right, maybe you'll get the chance to go back to Dinamo. Looking forward to your next update

Ok, looks like we're staying at Monaco, probably until Wolves comes up.

This is how our players did last year.

Transfers

Fernando the only other departure than the huge Robinson deal. Not a bad return from a free to be honest.

1849549402_JackWilliams_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.3a9dba6b2ced1e11e5de9eb5530a888f.png

Been tracking him for years and finally got him. He and Setien will be dominant.

Finally a solution for the left-wing issue. Replaces the aging Brekalo. Was very good for Benfica last year.

1587029101_AndrLindskog_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.be4695a03a23bd39460298715fa6a162.png

Robinson replacement. Shocked we got a player of his quality at such a low price.

Young prospect who arrived on a free. Second steal from Cukaricki.

Is Williams a German dual national?  He might be the first American--excluding Pulisic--I've seen get the "elite" tag.

Yes! 5 caps for their U21 side then switched allegiance.

This is what I've played up to. Real's draw with Dinamo plays into our hands if we can beat them at home. PSG running away with it, unfortunately. We blew a huge chance at my second Ligue 1 title last season.

(well, Hamza Slaoui and Maximiliano Sanchez did)

PSG can be such annoyance... But it's a long season, they can slip up.

Just got to hope they slow down eventually but they are ridiculously good, European champions too.

I'm getting bored at this stage. Can't wait to get out of France in truth.

A few deals this month: Chiesa kicked up a fuss and went to China, then we sold Christiansen to Barcelona, who were interested even though he's total ****

Chiesa's replacement was this guy:

I will train him to play on the left.

Enjoyed this month, which is mainly due to a tactical change

1544733965_ASMonaco_Overview.thumb.png.a46c32085582affa25f7263022a650a2.png

I like it but we really don't have enough defensive midfield cover and will probably revert to 4-4-2.

I'm sick and tired of France to be truthful and the whole cycle of the board reducing the percentage of retained revenue to 35% throughout the whole summer then putting it up in September is very frustrating.

Overall, this spell is a failure as we went three seasons without a trophy. I'm disappointed really and hopefully, I can do better elsewhere.

I think I've built Monaco into a side with huge potential for the future. Williams, Caraglio, Moreira, Simonsen, Slaoui, Schmitz and Ivkovic are all fantastic young players who are can compete with the best in Europe.

So what next? I want to see what comes up but I highly doubt that I'll get a top job off the back of this. AC Milan have sacked Zlatan Ibrahimovic and that could be a real option.

300948965_SvenAdzic_Inbox-10.thumb.png.5c5d9d7807451bb19e9dd309ae712805.png

I'll be back with a new team and new hopes. The Champions League dream isn't over, the game is making it harder for me.

So we're headed to Wolfsburg, 1-time champions of Germany and 1-time champions of Europe.

The absolute star player is Noah-Joel Ordenewitz

I really want to get the best out of him here.

Let's see how this goes.

Ordenewitz is insanely good!!

Good luck in Wolfsburg. They had a good team back in the day, Dzeko and Grafite were unreal together.

I'm so happy to manage him, he's different class.

We are currently having a 41,000-seater stadium being built named Edin Dzeko Park!

Transfers

2078732716_VfLWolfsburg_TransferHistory.thumb.png.abf6efdcf6cd193dcf14589c6f7488b1.png

We needed a left-back, so in came Calderon, a player I know well from Monaco and who served as a solid backup to Hamza Slaoui for us.

1816147965_SebastinCaldern_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.c4f084acf797aa2ede37e9f407bb0105.png

I also wanted a quality central-midfielder so I added Scott Whitten from Wolves, who had their tycoon funding scaled down over the summer.

1033427877_ScottWhitten_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.16a6ce78fbe873da05687a8601ebb3dd.png

Next, I needed a cover central-midfielder and found Barrago on the transfer list

Three really good prospects I'm very excited about.

Thank you mate. I think this Wolfsburg side is one or two players away from being a competitor in Europe. I need more cover players though, the lack of strength in depth is hurting us a bit this year.

Wolfsburg - 2031-32 - Winter Break Update

74089304_VfLWolfsburg_Competitions-2.thumb.png.9957e85ed4026ba6efbbcaead4522e3c.png

Season has been good so far, we lead the league for most of it but a draw with Leverkusen and loss to Dortmund see Bayern regain an advantage. We hammered Bayern 4-1 away earlier in the season in a great moment.

813016009_FCBayernvWolfsburg_MatchReview.thumb.png.b7ad03346502af0aa780beb20d1efa18.png

And as you can see, they nabbed Ivkovic, the man who shares a birthplace with Sven Adzic, off Monaco for £64m rising to £93m in the summer along with Galan, a central-midfielder from Barcelona who I once tried to sign on loan at Valencia.

We won our Champions League group, only to draw City :(

Another story from this save is the shocking demise of Werder Bremen. The four-time Bundesliga champions have been relegated all the way to the 3.Liga and languished there for 5 seasons. I'm a bit gutted I didn't spot this as reviving them could have been an interesting save.

Three of the key dealings from Janaury. Karaca was a steal at £2.6m, Merino sorted our left-wing issue and Veenboer is the long-term replacement for Alonso and will receive significant playing time for us.

YESSSSSSSS!!!! We end Bayern's 6-year dominance in Germany!

Heartbreaking loss to PSG, after being hammered 4-0 in Paris we came back with three first-half goals then couldn't find the fourth

1891304006_WolfsburgvPSG_MatchReview.thumb.png.92567d3815a38488eafb800b4e4e73a8.png

Our run, in particular the win against City, has convinced me this team is almost there and we can go all the way with a few good additions.

1430736559_SvenAdzic_Inbox-5.thumb.png.c81c463efea56e56e99c1a6fb653a87c.png

Ordenewitz was class and he and De Jong were a formidable strike force for us, contributing a combined 41 goals. Alvarez and Whitten had a great central midfield partnership.

Transfers

1581350340_VfLWolfsburg_TransferHistory.thumb.png.6c2ce4c792448daca0523e4931e4cec1.png

Deadwood cleared this summer. Players that rarely featured shipped off this summer.

469328113_JooVtor_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.e839e1a590aa8543d299ec5bc2beea4f.png

The big signing. My third huge fee dished out on a centre-back this save but I'm convinced this guy will become one of the world's best centre-backs in the near future.

142781792_JeromeBruch_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.062f24ac8bb37d3aa27a83ed915c5e0d.png

17 goals and 14 assists for Koln next season. A fee of only £33m appeared a bargain. Will probably succeed Ordenewitz, who turns 29 this season.

511677148_MirkoMaggioni_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.ffc9dc69573e9302d96062406834fbaf.png

A young, cover midfield option who came for a decent price. Good at both DLP and AP.

21702206_ngelMonge_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.4e7d23ae917163ca710ccb1d0ca416a6.png

A cheap, young cover right-back. All about giving this side depth.

2135274717_GastnGmez_OverviewProfile.thumb.png.2e45112a94954b97d2035d3fb2edb7da.png

Prospect, came to us with a hip injury, may be loaned out for first team action as we have a lot of centre-back cover.

1087399795_SvenAdzic_Inbox-12.thumb.png.fe28e62882dca821342afe4c53490b01.png

It's silverware, early signs from Bruch are ace.

We christened our new ground with a friendly against Dzeko's former club, Teplice. Tried Roma, City and Zeljeznicar but they couldn't fit it in. We smacked them 5-1.

Champions League draw

We just about squeeze into first at the winter break following a shock Bayern loss. Hopefully we keep up our form. Drew Spurs, who are top of the Premier League after 20 games, in the round of 16 but hopefully we overcome them.

Brilliant year for Ordenewitz. He's currently carrying a shoulder injury but luckily should be back for the Tottenham fixture.

Wolfsburg - 2032-33 - End of Season Update

1724831510_VfLWolfsburg_Competitions-2.thumb.png.693ca076b2f0ae3dedee65ee73d19ce5.png

Two straight league wins at least

70733071_SvenAdzic_Inbox-3.thumb.png.33e9e04d70f7354e0b16607161462125.png

Well, what a fun experience that was. Probably the most cagey Champions League final I've had - it was so even. We couldn't take advantage of Faccin's red and then ex-Bayern player Enrique Alvarez was sent off for a second yellow which made extra time nervy. To tie it all off, another ex-Bayern player, Barrago, hit the bar with his penalty to give Bayern the win.

I'm frustrated. We had a great run. The round of sixteen and quarter-finals were true battles. Surprisingly we played Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final and we dispatched them. At that point, I was convinced this was our year.

1330426117_VfLWolfsburg_SeniorFixtures.thumb.png.10b1003ca22d07d552685660b7901f0a.png

Next year has to be it. Ordenewitz will turn 30, Zander 31. These players are the cornerstones of this team.

2081551706_VfLWolfsburg_PlayersPlayers.thumb.png.53bcd373d5f4fe54af0c6eeb4ae46537.png

League stats shown here. Ordenewitz and Bruch lead this team. Had Ordenewitz not missed two months I'm sure he would have 20+ goals and assists in the league.

We'll be back stronger next year.
