Sweden V South Korea 1300 BST ITV

Recommended Posts

Considering he plays for the rock bottom team in the K-League, this keeper's pretty handy. If he keeps this up throughout the tournament he won't be at that team for long.

Sweden been the better side and should be ahead, SK have offered nothing at all going forward.

Must have had at least 25 fouls in that half.

Dead on, that’s probably near average for 90 mins, yet only the one card.

This games dull, first 0-0 or 1-0 Sweden.

South Korea defend about as deep as Iceland did, and while that might be needed vs Argentina, it definitely isn't against Sweden. After watching the first half, I expect Mexico and Germany to go through unfortunately.

Would have no problem with seeing Mexico and Germany progress from this group, they are without a doubt the best teams from the four. South Korea lacks quality and the long ball-thing from Sweden isn't enjoyable to watch either.

Whisper it...but I don't actually mind super Ally McCoist as a co-commentator. I expected him to be a bit excruciating, but far from it.

1. Brazil win their group ahead of Switzerland

2. Germany finish 2nd in their group behind Mexico

3. England and Belgium both beat Panama and Tunisia

4. England throw their match against Belgium, lose 12-0 and guarantee a quarter final match against either Mexico or Switzerland, whilst Belgium have to deal with Brazil or Germany.

Why aren't Korea playing in red?

This game definitely has the feel of a warm up for the rest of the day.

FIFA said they couldn't for some reason.

For those watching in black and white, Sweden are in yellow.

Korea have some nice dribblers but either make no use of them or they have no end product.

They should have hockey sticks with all this checking.

The Battle of Nizhny Novgorod.

I'm a little surprised it is still 11 vs 11 after an hour.

Ironically thats usually the reason they insist on inexplicable changes in kit. Its for the benefit for those watching in black and white. I'm not sure that's still relevant these days.

Ooh VAR!

Granqvist scores, because apparently this is CM00/01, where defenders take and score all the penalties.

Feel bad the the Korean goalkeeper, he's had a terrific game in what's been a pretty dire match.

Well done VAR

Can't wait to hear Phil Neville complain about the decision.

Can't even use the usual "but it slows the game down" objections. Watching the ref jog to the screen was more entertaining than the vast majority of the match.

Champion and McCoist the only two commentators who seem to understand VAR, fair play.

I really didn't think he was going to score based on his run-up.

Was he missing the usual side on, silly steps, stop and blaze over the bar?
