That's a new one for football.  The Aussies have already replaced their current manager for after the World Cup.

How long until the rest of the game picks that one up?

They announced that in March. Bert's just here for the WC cos he left Saudi Arabia and they thought it was the best chance to nab him. Also they may have wanted the incoming coach's contract at Sydney FC to expire before bringing him in.

France won't go far wrong in sacking Deschamps after this game if it's another 45 minutes of this.

They have no game plan or ideas how to attack. It's like watching Man Utd in the 2nd half of the season, just relying on individual brilliance. The speed and talent they have in this squad, they should be playing with such a higher tempo and dragging Australia all over the place, but it's been easy for the Aussies and not a hard shift to remain in shape, just a small shuffle from side to side. Pathetic stuff from France.

Not for me. He's not on much other than La Liga but Gary Birtles is just as bad. Both negative as **** and don't even enjoy football (or life...).

I think its the novelty of only really hearing him every two years :D

All those memes over the last 12 months about how amazing the French squad looks on paper. They'll be out in the first round if this is all they can muster on grass.

We all know how much quality they have and most people have been saying their downfall will be Deschamps.

Australia easily good enough to win this game if France contine as they are, and Denmark should do them too. Peru a bit of a wild card and anything could happen there, but it isn't looking promising for the French.

Impressed with how organised Australia are. A bit defensive but unlike the teams in the first two games yesterday they actually look a threat going forward too.

Another keeper having a solid game on this WC. Ryan flawless, and he gives confidence to his defenders. France at this rate aren't scoring in a million years. Van Marwijk's class shows here, he turned Australia into a solid wall. The pitch is helping as well.
