When the only hype in the game is the hope that a CB gets possession of the ball you know your watching ****.

Aside from game having no real tempo or any offensive actions, the players look like they're just playing a random friendly game.
No sense of urgency, hard tackles or anything.

I wouldn't bother bringing Salah on tbh. Just keep it tight, take the point and give him the rest

I know it's one bad game, but Suarez's whole game is based around being dynamic and clinical.  He's just looked so ordinary today.  Reminds me of later day Rooney.

Keystone Cops from both attackers and defenders there.

I'd have thought if Egypt were going to rest Salah in any game, it would be the one V Saudi Arabia

strange they didn't give him the last 10 minutes, although Uruguay's defence (well Godin) has been solid enough.  It's just the rest that is poor

Perfect time for salah to come on. Surprised he doesn’t play a part

Your boy injured him! Don’t think he’s ready just yet.

It really depends how fit he actually is. If he's barely fit, there's no need to risk it all in the first game

They want/will need to win that game though. They've just accepted that Uruguay will win the group, and are focusing on 6 points from Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Stupid foul to give away.

The racist biter wins again.

:(

Sánchez serves up a load of rubbish, and then he does that. Great header by Giménez.

He was ready for 10 mins football. Egypt deserve to lose for not bringing him on.

Gutted for that.  Wanted Egypt to win.  Didn't think the Cavani strike was a free kick(what a hit though) but a silly foul to give then.
