Idk why everyone thinks Egypt would score easily if they start attacking.

Uruguay has been like this for years, sort of NT version of Atletico. Huge issues when they need to attack through possession against defensive opposition, but they're really hard to break down and thrive on counter-attacks.

looks to me as if Uruguay have believed all the things people have said about this group and think they are easily going to top it

Egpyt should bring on Salah to try and win this game

The Egyptian front men all trying over head kicks, not very well either.

It's like they think they are all Salah, did the manager say something inspiring before the game started.

"If you all play like Salah, we can win this."

Yeah but supposedly their new midfield with lots of young talents had led them to a slightly more progressive style of play.

At least in theory that's what I read...

wonder if we'll get some Premier League syndrome today, not going to say this game was a Man Utd V Man City-esque game but Uruguay are expected to get quite far in the tournament - although maybe not after this performance

late afternoon game is Iran V Morocco, a 7 goal thriller? hopefully Jahanbakhsh can shine, had a cracking season in the Eredivise this year

This is setup for Cavani to get one chance and take it, he's barely touched the ball but when he has good things have happened.

volley he had in the first half was going on target if it wasn't blocked

No. But his last season was crap regardless of goal record. Any top striker can get that with Messi supplying them.

His 25 league goals is more then Zlatan, Neymar or Villa ever managed in one season at Barcelona...

More like Salah to come on for the last 10 minutes and win the game from a free kick.
