First 3 games are interesting but hardly headline grabbing. Group A is a bit unfashionable, standard 'favourable group' that Russia still may not get out of

Egypt VS Uruguay should be a decent game but Portugal VS Spain the first one I'm really looking forward to.

I kind of like them all, the unusual match ups you don't see with something at stake, Morocco vs Iran even but they're hardly headline grabbers until Portugal/Spain

Shame about the opening game innit.

Other than that, off out to get a wallchart and crates and crates of the good stuff later, bring it on.

Not a fan of starting it on a Thursday and then having an extra game to fit in on the Saturday. They did this in Brazil.

Thu - 1, Fri - 3, Sat - 4

rather than

Fri - 2, Sat - 3, Sun - 3

which was better.

I didn't realise England are playing Kaliningrad!

Kaliningrad, for those that don't know is a annexed region of Russia bordering Lithuania and Poland away from the mainland.

Thought it was just a military thing, never realised it actually had a stadium and people and stuff.  Of course I've stood at the boarder in Nida, Lithuania and gave them the Wanka sign

Kaliningrad is the old famous German city of Königsberg.

Has anyone got one of those calender links that puts all the games in your calender?

I thought the middle game was 3-5, so I could finish it before I left work. But it's 4-6. A slight annoyance.
