It's only been a week but both country and club news starts to filter through about our young stars of the future.

First of all, William Ekamah has been named captain of his country with Crosco Si vice-captain, the people of the The Bahamas are said to be positive about this news and Ekamah is a good choice.

In club news, Zaheerafaghara Kakhanakarna signs a pre-contract with his club to turn pro, a £1.1m minimum fee release clause and £1.5k a week in wages is enough to tempt him to sign his first pro contract (which will go live 26/06/2018). Duce Robinson shines on his debut for Cobh Rambles, scoring and setting a goal up in a 3-2 win.

Ryan Micallef makes his debut in a 1-0 win, Ace Robinson also makes his debut in a 1-1 draw setting up his clubs goal. Gero Zauber, like Zaheerafaghara has signed pre-contract terms with his club, meaning on the 26/06/2019 he will be earning himself £1.4k a week. Rob Cook however has turned down his clubs offer of a contract stating 'poison in the dressing room' as the reason.

A couple of assists for Ryan Price on his debut in a 3-0 win will have pleased his family and friends, whilst both Michel Petit (26/06/2018 £1.3k a week) and Kazikannajeera Kakhanakarna (26/06/2018 £12.75k a week and a £3.8m minimum fee release clause) have both signed pre-contracts.

Good to see Balicki in Ruch Chorzów, a club that is known for letting youngsters play a lot (mostly because they can't afford higher rated players). On the other hand - Polish First Division (second tier) clubs can only use 1 non-EU player in match squad, so it could be a disadvantage for a Bahamian lad.

A busy month sees the youth players set records, score goals and suffer set-backs, here is a round up of the best bits.

Starting off with a team of the week award for Duce Robinson (SSE Airtricity First Division), and followed with a debut for Joona Puksi in his clubs 2-0 defeat. Michael Klein broke the record for being the youngest ever player in the ÖFB-Samsung-Cup, Crosco Si learnt football was also about hard knocks following a collision in training and up to a month out with a damaged shoulder.

Rafael Jorge sets a new record of being the youngest ever player in Puchar Polski history, and then the following week set the record as the youngest to play in Nice 1 Liga. Ryan Price continues to light up his clubs season with a man of the match award in a 3-0 win, picking up an assist in his 5th apperance of the season. Ryan has 1 goal and 4 assists to his name as his IF Sylvia team sit at the top of the Division 2 Södra Svealand with half the season left to play.

Piotr Balicki had a debut to remember in his clubs 2-1 win, scoring and setting a goal up and in doing so set records for being the youngest ever Nice 1 Liga goalscorer and also the youngest ever play for his club KS Ruch Chorzów.

Table showing current stats (league and cup) the lads have played.

Loving it so far! Should have thought earlier about the Problems for Youngsters in Germany to get game time. I don't remember the rule exactly but it's something like they are not alowed to Play unless they are xx years. What is it? 17? 18 even? Should have thought about that before placing Fritz Mueller there... :seagull:

He'll be the star at youth Level until then, I guess, valued at 1.5m already :D

5 more weeks pass in the lives of our future stars and lots to talk about including the first International games.

Crosco Si becomes the youngest player in Perth Glory's history, playing in the FFA Cup, whilst Ryan Price continues to tear it up with 6 more assists and 3 man of the match awards. Josh Scowen makes his debut for York in a 3-1 win over rivals Bradford Park Avenue and becomes Yorks youngest ever player.

Joona Puski picks up the man of the match award with an assist in his sides 2-0 victory and is also picked in the team of the month, Andy King makes his debut for Biu Chun Rangers scoring the winner and picking up the man of the match award in a 1-0 win. William Ekamah scores on his debut in a 3-0 win, whilst Zaheerafaghara Kakhanakarna becomes his clubs youngest ever player.

On the International front the senior manager didn't have the spuds to pick any of our 15 year old stars, however the u20 manager decided to give a few players a run. The senior side managed to lose 7-0 away at French Guiana whilst the u20 team beat French Guiana 3-0 and follwed that up with a 3-0 home win over Martinique (172 fans turned out to watch the future of the world!)

Classy Ryan Price assists twice more in a 3-1 win, whilst Rafael Jorge was bullied in a league game and ended up stretched off after a physical challenge knocked him out and 2 weeks on the sidelines due to concussion. Michael Klein becomes the youngest ever goalscoer in the Sky Go Erste Liga, Ryan Micallef smashes a couple of goals in a 2-1 win.

Willam Ekamah makes his debut in La Liga for Athletic Club Bilbao and in turn becomes the youngest ever player in league history, over in Mexico Lewis Dix will see around 6 weeks of injury due to sprained ankle ligament damage picked up in a league game. Crosco Si sets a new record for A-League football as our young men continue to make the sports sections of their local newspapers.

On the International front the national team continues to be a little '****' and losing a couple more games 3-0, at home to Martinique and El Salvador, whilst the u20 team beat El Salvador away 3-0 and Saint Pierre and Miquelon 7-0 with 152 fans rocking up to the match.

106 days since our lads joined their clubs, we will look at some of the players careers in a little more detail - keep tuned.

First of our young men that have completed their first season is Ryan Micallef, his 8 goals helped his team to 4th place in the league and a slot in his teams best 11. Currently content at the club with no plans for the future, Ryan had a pretty good first season and missed just 3 days with a bruised shin in training, lets hope he continues to develop and get some International game time.

Joona Puksi had a cracking season winning the Ykkönen by three  points meaning he will be booting the ball around in the Veikkausliiga next season. Joona was named twice in the First Division team of the month and also in Jaro's team of the season. No injuries were picked up and with 4 U20 caps and 2 goals I get the feeling a bigger club may come in for him over the next year.

Luis Costa makes his debut in a cracking 3-1 win, another lad making his debut but in the cup is Jo King, coming on as a sub in a 1-1 draw. Kazikannajeera Kakhanakarna made his debut and scored in a 4-1 Copa de Su Majestad El Rey victory against F.C. Cartagena and in doing so became the clubs youngest ever player and goalscorer.

Crosco Si picks up the October young player of the month award in Australia, letting just 1 goal in 4 games as he continues to develop well and chalk the apperances up.

On the International front the senior team continued to ignore our band of young brothers, instead letting them dominate the u20 scene. The senior side have won their last 3 games, 1-0 at home to St. Pierre & Miquelon 1-0, Sint Maarten 4-0 and Montserrat 3-0 and should see an increase in world rankings come the ext update.

Sint Maarten u20s were beaten 2-0 at home in front of 133 fans and this was followed up with a record home u20 attendance of 220 fans and a 3-0 win over Montserrat and complete 6 wins on the bounce, scoring 21 goals and letting 0 in, bring on 2018!

Whilst most 15 year-olds would be thinking about what was in their xmas presents, our set of lads were giving the boys and girls of all ages presents on the football field. Kazikannajeera Kakhanakarna was actually being used by his club in the UEFA Champions League and with a £3.5m buy out fee in his contract, could the world be ready for a crazy bidding war on him? He had already set the record for the youngest ever player in the Champions League, a goal must be round the corner!

A solid 2 goals in a cup game against F.C. Cartagena and a goal after coming on as sub against Villarreal C.F. SAD, making him the Liga Santander's youngest ever goalscorer meant the young man had made a total of 7 senior apperances scoring 3 goals and 13 Spanish u19 Division 1 apperances with 26 goals to his name. Word on the terrace is that the footballing world believe him to be worth £4.3m, meaning his buy out would see a saving - could the youngster be facing an early present of a new contract with a higher clause or will his agent tout him about for a crazy contract?

In France, PSG boss Unai Emery was quizzed about his potential move for young Rob Cook, responding with a "no comment"when pushed for an answer.

Mexico had finished their football and young Lewis Dix had a fine first season making a total of 23 apps with 1 goal, 7 assists and 2 man of the match awards between playing for his clubs A and B sides, Lewis was named captain of his B side and missed 4 weeks of the season due to sprained ankle ligaments picked up in training.

Alexandru had a solid first season helping his side avoid relagation and picking up 18 league apperances in the process, he will be hoping to kick on next season and add a first senior goal to his name.

Alexandru_Season_1.jpg

Ryan Price was also on holiday with his feet up after a first season in Swedish football, he had also had his feet up 3 times during the season with various injuries (5 days for bruised shoulder, 2 days with a tight calf and 6 days with a twisted knee), could he be slightly injury prone? When he does play, he can certainly pick out a pass though!

Many thanks for the comments so far, sorry I don't reply back to each one - will be very intresting to see what happens once the boys get poached by bigger clubs. Will they sit in the 2nd string, get loaned out or just crack straight on with a career in football. Our first player is close to 25 senior apperances and to do so before his 16th birthday is some achievement, fingers crossed he will have done so before work and I can get another update fired up.

  • 3 weeks later...
  • 2 weeks later...

Will update today - been pretty ill since completing an ultra-marathon the other week - I have had the game moving forward and since the lads have grown up and moved clubs they have not been picked for their countries......Going to leave it running another year to see if it does anything - might be because the country can't afford to scout outside its continent?? No idea.
