Last question cuz i don't wanna bother you, if i'm playing with Lyon or Ajax, who are top teams in their leagues but underdogs in europe, which tactic would you recommend for the League games and the european ones against 'bigger' teams? agreed Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 i've tried all of your other fm18 tactics and a lot of them have been solid enough and brought success. this one is completely different though, i haven't scored this many before. usually win the league with about 80-90 goals but now i'm on 54 with only 14 games played. the man utd result was probably expected and the bournemouth game i was 2-0 up with about 5 minutes to go. only game which was strange was the southampton game - it's the only time i felt like i wasn't really dominating the opposition. can't win them all i guess. agreed Posted April 5, 2018 Share Posted April 5, 2018 decent season - blew teams away for the most part but unfortunately i lost the fa cup and cl finals. something really strange has happened though. over the summer i sold a few of my top players cos i'm struggling for cash and brought in some younger ones with good potential..weakening my defence in the process, or at least that's what i thought. the difference in goals conceded in both seasons is insane. i was one game away from unlocking the parking the tank achievement for the first time in my fm history. i knew arsenal would score. think i would have won the inter game aswell but i play my 2nd xi in the cl group stages. here's my colombia qualification results aswell. was struggling until i switched to this tactic after the loss to argentina. ended up topping the group on the final day. i've probably tried all of your tactics again this year knap and this one is hands down the best in my experience. Even away games against lower rates teams they play 10 man behind the ball and am struggling now with wof 22213 as primary tac to get more than 1 or 2 goals if I am lucky: AF - P/AF - Af T. T wb. nijak05 Posted November 10, 2018 Share Posted November 10, 2018 SI increased the influence of the clubs’ reputation in the match engine, so it means if you are managing a big team playing a patient shorter passing football against small teams, you will probably struggle to win matches because the AI managers will adopt a defensive approach hard to be exploited. The best way to be successful against any team is don’t press them too much high up of the pitch, inviting them to pushing up their troops until your own territory, creating a rock defensive D line difficult to they broke down, meanwhile let them to push up their full backs, and suddenly recover the ball, play long range passes to the strikers taking advantage of the numerical superiority, and finish the deadly counter attacks effectively. The first paragraph is basically the problem - I still usually win at home but only marginally - even away the “weaker” teams sit deeper and compact .. which tactic would you use to counter that.. the wof 22213 plays beautiful football and is used as primary tactic Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have played haven’t scored less than 5/6 goals pr match and only conceded 2.. Think I have played 6 home games now.. the iwb actually make it pretty solid in midfield as well and all the players seem to press high up field and more often than not we win the ball back.. A lot of the goals come from crosses.. how would it change the dynamics if instead of play through both flanks and look for overlap I would look to play through the middle and maybe look for underlap..
