As others have said in the past, it could become repetitive very quickly, and the size of the FM database makes recording commentary lines for goodness knows how many players and clubs unviable. EA spend a vast amount more on FIFA than Sega give to SI for Football Manager and even they can't make commentary good. Within half a dozen matches you've heard just about every single line of commentary, you'll hear the same comment a dozen times in a match, and a good portion of the time the line of commentary that is delivered is completely wrong for the situation. If EA can't get it right with the amount of money they spend on the game, what makes you think that SI could do better? At best it would be something that would be moderately interesting for a few games before becoming repetitive and being switched off. At worst it would be an immediate annoyance that would be switched off before you'd even finished your first match. Either way, there's far more important things for SI to be spending their money on. I'll make it possible. Super want this!! The commentary patch from FM17 was great. Added something to the "silence" of the crowd, and longer so boring.
