But the real story is our promotion Best XI Awards & Stats Key Players Cregan still doesn't feature despite his amazing efforts. Weird. Transfers A bunch of deadwood was released as well. Murphy boosts our forward line that didn't really need it and JHH is much needed at the back. shaunvamos Posted January 15, 2018 Author Share Posted January 15, 2018 September 2019 A pretty dominant month for us in the league, that 7-1 win over Crumlin was a particular highlight. But the biggest highlight was the win over St Pats. A top class team in Ireland, and we managed to take them in penalties. Missing penalties during the game almost came back to haunt us as we missed one again. We have Dundalk next, and that should be a massive test, and hopefully the scoreline is kept respectable. Close game in the cup and we have Drogheda next which looks to be another tight game. Transfers Couple of additions to the backline. shaunvamos Posted January 16, 2018 Author Share Posted January 16, 2018 February 2020 Busy month, but a pretty lacklustre one. Really unlucky against Sheriff, they scored in 90+3 and 90+6. Also out of the FAI Cup in a match where we were up 2-1 and then lost. Not seeing games out seems to be what my teams are best at. Records/Awards Best XI Team Awards/Stats Key Players Unfortunately we are losing possibly our best player to the Rovers, quite a few of our players have been poached actually which I'll document in the preseason. Transfers We were poached hard this season, with Kelly (best player) and Hale (starting keeper) going to the Rovers. I'm hoping to make them pay when we see them but without Kelly that'll be hard. Could it lead to a change in fortunes? I've also changed the transfer rules, given the fact that it hasn't really worked out. Transfers Just 2 in, Mitchell returns to us on loan and O'Sullivan is an Irish journeyman. Could have signed more but there was an embargo placed on us as we had a board takeover. Speaking of the board takeover, we were slightly back in the positives money wise so I took advantage. Recruitment is now at established and coaching is adequate. Transfers Went on a bit of a rampage in the transfer window, taking advantage of the 6k wage budget deficit. Mark Hale comes back to us from Shamrock Rovers, and along with McKeown, our first player bought for money, go straight into the first team. Whittingham is more an option for the future, but he is a big pickup for us as he was released by Stoke, so there is potential for us there.
